The club pulsed with heat, bodies swaying on the dance floor, minds hazy from endless gin tonics. Tonight was about letting go. Y/N and her friends were celebrating the end of exams, the stress of weeks, maybe months, finally lifted. Only the holidays awaited.
With alcohol coursing through her veins, Y/N felt a seductivness envelop her. Chris, her close friend, danced beside her, his hand resting on her waist, his presence intimate but familiar. She trusted him, even in her intoxicated state. Yet, she couldn't ignore the heat in the pit of her stomach. Chris moved with expertise, his touch starting innocently but gradually descending lower. Instead of pushing him away, Y/N pressed closer to his crotch, matching his rhythm. His lips started trailing wet kisses along her neck, igniting a shiver down her spine. She couldn't help but moan, surrendering to his embrace as he held her close. The music throbbed, the crowd around them lost in their own frenzy, but Y/N was consumed by the touch and kisses of her dear friend, Chris.
Bag on the floor, shoes thrown aside, fingers moving quickly to unbutton and unzip, lips devouring hastily. The rush of movement seemed to distract Y/N and Chris from the realization that two best friends were about to sleep together.
They could always blame it on the alcohol, couldn't they?
Not on how Chris was always the best listener, and Y/N gave the best advice ever. Not on Chris's habit of tucking a strand of hair behind Y/N's ear, and definitely not on Y/N's comforting hugs. The dimples from his warm smile were definitely not to blame either. And Y/N's big, sparkling eyes were certainly not at fault.
This is what friends feel for each other, right?
"Channie, wake up," Y/N's soft morning voice attempted to rouse the heavy body that trapped her in bed, wrapped in his arms, hindering her potential escape after sobering up. The sweet call from his dear friend grabbed the needed attention, and Chan grumbled and finally stirred. Yet, Y/N remained ensnared, now with Chan rubbing her waist and nuzzling her breast, his eyes still closed. If it weren't for the butterflies in Y/N's stomach, she might have enjoyed this less.
"Channie?" she called, unaware of the impact this nickname, combined with her lovely voice, had on Chan. He hadn't replied, instead, he began to plant soft kisses on her breast while wrapping his arms around her hips. Y/N moaned and arched her back from pleasure, instinctively tangling her fingers in Chan's sweet locks, gently tugging them. She felt his hardness against her, anticipation evident. It was then that morning became her best one in many months.
The bathroom door swung open, revealing two smiling faces emerging, both clad in nothing but towels. They hadn't even attempted to discuss the situation that would undoubtedly alter their relationship. Maybe their affectionate gazes, tender touches, and profound care spoke for themselves?
"Breakfast?" Chan asked, offering Y/N his shirt to dress in. She simply nodded in return with a smile, and they both moved to the kitchen, Chan cooking and Y/N brewing coffee.
All without exchanging a word, yet also without any tension in the air.
After finishing their meal, they both attended to the dishes in sync. It all felt so natural, like the usual morning of a couple, even though it was their first encounter — Y/N had never stayed over at Chan's place before.
When they finally faced each other, they both said three simple, yet very obvious words at the same time.
