The last 3 weeks had run smoothly.

Derek and Emilia had been go home to Emilia almost everyday after work and they managed to not once be seen by anyone.

Emilia walked into the scrub room.

You ready to assist me - Derek asked while washing his hands

I would say so - Emilia said with a smile

They both went into the OR and Derek started the surgery.

Derek kept glancing over at Emilia, and she had noticed.

Dr. Shepherd.. can I come close to get a better look - Emilia asked

Of course - Derek said

Emilia went up beside him and stepped on his foot.

I'll always find a way - Emilia whispered into his ear before go back to her old position

The surgery didn't go as planned and they unfortunately lost their patient.

I'll inform the family - Emilia said before walking out the scrubs room

Emilia went into the waiting room and found the family.

Dr. Shepherd did everything he could but unfortunately it wasn't enough - Emilia said with a face like she almost was crying

Emilia left the room and went to her locker.

Emilia started having tears in her eyes.

You okay - Meredith asked

Lost my first patient.. but I'm gonna be okay - Emilia said while wiping her tears away

You wanna head to Joe's - Meredith asked

You off work? - Emilia asked

Yes.. you? - Meredith asked

I'm off too.. let's then - Emilia said

Emilia and Meredith went together at Joe's.

3 hour later.

So you're telling me that you live with Izzie, Alex and George - Emilia said

Yeah I do.. we're all roommates - Meredith said

What about Cristina? - Emilia asked

I offered her to but she lives alone in a apartment I think - Meredith said

What about you? - Meredith asked

I live in a house 15 minutes away from here - Emilia said

You should come over sometime.. not right now because I can feel the tequila - Meredith said

Meredith you're 10 o'clock taxi is here - Joe said

Is it already 10 pm - Meredith said

Really - Emilia said

Meredith left the bar and went into her taxi.

Did I order a taxi? - Emilia asked Joe

No but I can call you one - Joe said

I'm gonna call someone to pick me up - Emilia said

Emilia walked a little away and called Derek.

Yes beautiful - Derek said

What are you doing? - Emilia asked

Playing dart.. why? - Derek said

I need you to pick me up.. I'm too drunk to drive - Emilia said

I'm behind you.. playing dart with Bruke - Derek said

Emilia turned around and saw Derek with Bruke.

Derek told Burke that he had to go and took Emilia with him.

Can I see your place? - Emilia asked in the car

Sure.. but I don't know if you'll remember it tomorrow.. you're really drunk - Derek said

I never get drunk.. I'm still lucid.. I know who you are - Emilia said with a laugh

Derek drove to his "place" which was a big landmark he had bought and had a small trailer in the middle.

They got out the car and went into the trailer.

This is smaller than my toilet in Spain - Emilia said with a laugh

It gets the job done for only 1 person living here - Derek said

Emilia and Derek quickly fell asleep in the trailer.

5 am in the morning and something was happening outside.

Emilia woke up to a loud noise.

Derek.. what the hell is going on outside - Emilia said while waking Derek

Umm.. I don't know - Derek said with a sleepy voice and his face was under his pillow

Emilia got up and went to the door and opened it.

Emilia screamed and closed the door.

Derek almost jumped out of the bed.

What's wrong? - Derek asked

There.. there's a.. a bear.. outside - Emilia said

A bear.. you sure - Derek said while slowly walking to the door

It was big and brown - Emilia said

Derek opened the door and nothing was outside.

See.. there isn't bears here in Seattle - Derek said with a laugh

I'm not going out there - Emilia said

Emilia went to the bathroom while Derek started breakfast.

2 months had gone by and everything was running smoothly.

Emilia and Derek mostly slept at Emilia's house but sometimes at Derek's trailer.

None from the hospital had found out because they had kept it very low.

Emilia had become great friends with Meredith and Cristina.

Emilia had just performed her very first solo surgery and the patient had unfortunately died.

Emilia ran to a on call room and started crying.

2 minutes later Derek walked into the room.

Derek hugged Emilia tightly.

It wasn't your fault - Derek said while leaving a kiss on Emilia's cheek.

Alex opened the door and quickly left the room again.

I think it's time everyone knows - Emilia said

You sure - Derek asked

Yeah.. Alex is probably already telling people - Emilia said with a laugh

Derek laughed.

Let's tell them tomorrow - Emilia said

You wanna head home and get some sleep - Derek asked

Yeah.. that would be nice - Emilia said while resting her head on Derek's shoulder

Emilia and Derek headed home to Derek's trailer.

The next morning.

Emilia and Derek drove to the hospital together and started their shifts.

Where's the chief's office? - a woman asked a nurse at the nurse station

Up the stairs and to the right - a nurse said

Derek suddenly noticed the woman walking up the stairs and he was in shock.
