“How is this possible, aren't you dead? I saw you die.” “I am dead. Look at the ring I gave you.” I glanced at my hand and realized. My ring had changed. It was blue again.
The ring was a matching one I had with Felix that turned blue when I was near the other half. I glanced back at him and looked at his hand. He had the other half still on.
“Wait, you're not answering the question, how am I seeing you?” “The ring lets you see me, I knew I was going to die soon enough so I bought it.”
I looked at him with pure rage. “You left me. You left me.” I started to sob. “ You knew you would die soon enough? Why did you have to die and not tell me you knew?” I choked out the last words of my sentence before falling to the ground.
“I couldn’t see you suffer so soon VaI, you're only 17.” he whispered “You're so lonely you would have died for me, i couldn’t let that happen.” He tried to hold in the tears but couldn't. I guess he was too chicken to say it before he died.
I went up to him and tried to hold his hands but he stood back. I should have known better than that since we had a fight before he died. He was in love with Leah while dating me. “Are you still in love with Leah?” I sighed and looked down at the floor not wanting to see his reaction.
“I don't know, I need to think.” I wanted an answer but he wasn’t gonna give me one till he figured it out himself. “How long do you think you’ll need?” He looked at me with despair in his eyes and said “ I don't know.” Again leaving me with no answers. I wanted to know but he wasn't gonna answer me.
“Vianne get down here and say hi!” Mom called me. “I gotta go Felix, I'm sorry.” I rushed downstairs and met Dad.
