While traveling through the Donut Plains, Mario and friends were talking along the way.

Mario: So how strong does the Chaos Emeralds make you?

Sonic: Well, if you only have one, it will give you a slight boost in power, but...

Shadow: If you have all seven, you'll be unstoppable.

Luigi: REALLY?!

Sonic: Yeah, the power of all seven combined will give you a lot of power, but it's connected to your emotions too.

Mario: It's connected?

Sonic: There's a mantra that can give you an idea.

The server of the seven chaos
Chaos is power
Enriched by the heart
The controller is the one that unifes the chaos.

Sonic: You understand?

Mario and Luigi: 🤨???

Sonic: Basically, it means that your heart controls how the Chaos Emeralds energy will act.

Mario: Ohhhhh, I think I get it.

Sonic: So we need to get them before Metallix can get them.

Luigi: B-but shouldn't it be impossible for him?

Shadow: Not exactly.

Both of the plumbers looked confused.

Sonic: Our nemesis, Dr. Eggman is a genius when it comes to robots, but he doesn't know how to control things that are powerful...but he was able to find out how to use the Emeralds as a power source, so he's able to power his machines with them.

Both Mario and Luigi look anguished.

Sonic: So Metallix is able to use the Emeralds raw energy as a power source, we have to make sure that he can't get all seven.

Mario: We'll make sure that he won't-

Luigi: WE'RE HERE!

Everyone looks over and sees a forest.

Shadow: This is where we'll find your friend?

Luigi: Yep!

Sonic: What's his name?

Mario: His name is Yoshi!

Everyone proceeds to the forest to find Yoshi...

Meanwhile...

Metallix's Scanner: *beep* *beep* Energy signature match found.

Metallix: So one of the Emeralds is in that direction.

Metallix activates his jet boost and flies towards a forest...
