Catori

The night continues and shots keep ending up on my hand, my world and head, spinning after only a few hours. I dance all night though, having a great time with all the people I just met, eventually getting into a good conversation with Aizah.

After Naomi pulls me away from the lady, she brings me back to our booth and sits me down.

"Maybe you should take a breather, before you bump into the wrong person." She says, smiling at me, as she fixes my hair and places her hand on my shoulder for a second, getting a good look at me.

"Why'd you pull me away from her?!" I whine, slumping in my chair like a child. Naomi shakes her head at me, thinking that it's time to take me home.

"You don't need to entertain people you meet in the club, they're never any good." She tells me. "I should take you home. God if I knew you were such a lightweight, I wouldn't have let Cam give you all those drinks."

Naomi shakes her head at me and leaves for a second to tell the others, we're leaving. As I'm sitting down, I look around the club, my head feeling like it's going to explode, I catch a glimpse of the woman I bumped into earlier. Her eyes start searching the crowd, ignoring her friends who talk beside her.

I chuckle to myself as I watch the girl, taking off my glasses and cleaning them to get a better look. Just as I put them back on, our eyes meet, a noticeable smirk forming on the woman's lips as she finally spots me.

The woman's features, which were not as prominent at this distance, frustrates me, as I remember the woman very slightly from our quick interaction on the dance floor, being dangerously hot; my lack of vision once again getting in my way. Her slightly built figure, long brown locs and sparkling diamond jewelry being the only thing I could truly see from this distance.

She starts to get up and my stomach curls as anticipation fills my body but my emotions are quickly cut off by Naomi's body stepping in front of me, blocking me from seeing the woman who is, I hope, on her way over to me.

I groan slightly as I look up at Naomi who helps me up and starts to walk me out the club; I don't protest since I wouldn't mind being at home right now but I did really want to talk to that woman.

We get to my house and Naomi looks at me as I look at my house then at her.

"I had a lot of fun tonight, I'm really glad I got to meet all of you." I softly speak, my voice already starting to disappear.

Naomi smiles and nods. "I'm glad we met you too, girl. You know how to have fun! You'll be staying here for a while right? Why don't we exchange numbers?"

A big smile appears on my face as I realize I made a couple of friends so quickly, so ready to tell my sister all about it. I nod and Naomi and I exchange phones and put in our numbers. We give each other back our phones and hug over the armrest.

"You'll be okay, right?" She speaks into my ear before she lets me go.

I look at her and nod. "Bye Omi. Thank you!" I wave to her getting out of the car, seeing her smile at the nickname I used.

I walk into my apartment building, making my way up to my apartment, holding my pounding head. I get to my door, unlocking it and walking inside, looking over the dark front room that still had my mess from earlier.

Loneliness dragged over me as I walked into my messy apartment, locking my door behind me. I go to my room and flop down on the bare mattress that, laid in the middle of the floor on no frame. I grab a blanket from one of the boxes in the room and cover myself with it, my body quickly easing into a deep sleep.
