Her Unbroken Promise

Chapter 4

Natalie's POV:

   I shake on this cute thing and it makes a noise that brings me joy. 'What that?' Sissy babbles around her pacifier I think that what mommy called it and her eyes track my movements.

  'I don't know but I like it' I babble back and shake it frantically making the noise again. Sissy and I giggle at it.

   A light flashing made the both of us turn our attention towards Mommy who stood above us with a thing that poops something out at the bottom.

Mommy grabs the poop then shakes it. Why is she grabbing the poop? Aunt Kate gags every time we poopy so poop isn't good. Maybe it's not poop.

   I sneeze loudly scaring Sissy who looks at me with big eyes. "Ooh bless you, baby. My goodness that was a big sneeze," mommy coos softly at me as she rubs my stomach making me squeal loudly since it tickled.

Sissy giggle at us making mommy smile down at her and rub her tummy too making sissy squeal like me.

   "Tanya," Aunt Ina calls out making Sissy and I look towards her with smiles. She smiles softly at us and kneeled down to touch our cheeks.

   "What is it, Irina?" Mommy asks sitting down on the floor next to us. I coo softly and grab ahold of Aunt Ina's fingers.

   She giggles softly and wiggles them in my hand. "Ah!" I shake her fingers as I yell out getting smiles from mommy and Aunt Ina.

"Our cousins are on the way. They should be here in a few hours," aunt Ina says sitting down right next to me but kept her hand in mine. 

   Our family is the best and and they're really really fast. It's cool. Are we gonna be that fast? I want to be just like mommy. 

   'Me too. Just like mommy," Sissy babbles next to me and I turn my head towards her with a gummy smile. 

   I go back to playing with Aunt Ina's fingers and I move them around. A familiar lovely scent fills my nose and I start to get excited.

Grandma's here. Sissy squeals happily and I start wiggling around trying to find her. In comes Grandma and Aunt Katie.

   Sissy and I squeal happily once we saw them. "They heard or smelled you guys when you entered the house because they started to get excited once you guys did," Mommy says with a chuckle.

"Oh they did?" Grandma asks smiling down at us and we start kicking our legs excitedly. Grandma grandma grandma.

We love grandma. She smells so good. "Aw they're so adorable," Aunt Katie coos as she looks down at us.

  "We have a few surprises for you two. Look what we got," Grandma says with her voice changing a bit and pulled out two things.

What are those? "These are zebras, sweethearts. They are yours," she adds handing the toys over to us.

I grab onto it and stare at it in wonder. Zebras. I latch onto it and bite down. Mommy, grandma, aunt Ina and aunt Katie start laughing softly.

Carmen's POV:

   I smile lovingly down at them. They seem to really like the stuffed toys. "Oh lord. Don't tell me you bought more things for them," Tanya says chuckling as we give her a sheepish smile.

   "Maybe but it's stuff they will use and need," Kate answers quickly while setting the two bags down on the chair.

"We also stole more blood bags for the girls," I announce handing the duffel bags to Kate who took them and sped towards the basement where we keep them stored.

Tanya sighs with a nod, "well it's a good thing that they won't have to be fed blood every single day when they're older. Stealing too many can lead up to investigations with the police and we don't need that."

"Relax, Tan. I can go steal some from the town over. Hell even the country over. We'll be fine," Kate tells her once she came back.

   She took a seat on the recliner and I took a seat on the couch. "She's right. We have the whole world to steal from. What's a few bags of missing blood gonna hurt?" Irina agrees with a shrug.

  "Suppose you guys are right," Tanya says before stopping as the twins make a few cute noises as they play with their zebras, "plus we have a good reason to steal them."

   I still can't believe I'm a grandma to these two precious little girls. So adorable. "Where's Eleazar?" I softly ask since he didn't come greet me when I got home.

He usually does every time. It's adorable. "In his study doing some more research. Like always," Irina answers as she plays with Natalie.

I shook my head with a chuckle. Of course he is. Ever since we got the twins he's been doing a bunch of research to help them and us understand their changings.

   "How are you gonna handle the whole introduction of the twins to our cousins?" I ask staring down at Nate who's chewing on the zebra's foot.

   I smile softly at her. Tanya hands me the camera and I point it at Nate then captured the cute moment. 

   "Simple just introduce them to the twins like normal people would do. They may freak out but they're gonna have to get over it. We need Carlisle and if the others don't want to be involved then they don't have to," Tanya announces with a sigh and I nod.

  Sounds good. "That's a good plan, Tan. But I doubt they would do anything to the twins," Kate says reaching down to mess with Nate's foot.

  She giggles around the stuffed animal and kicks her feet. "Oh yeah she's gonna make a fine Kate Jr. when she's older," Kate says chuckling at Nate who's staring at her while chewing on the zebra.

"Uh huh like I would let that happen. They're not gonna be influenced by you," Tanya retorts crossing her arms.

   I chuckle softly as Kate give her a mock hurt look before turning back to Nate. "It's okay, kiddo. I'm here to make sure you and your sister have fun. You're not gonna end up like your boring old momma," She 'whispers' to Nate who coos quietly.

Tanya throws a pillow at her and it hits her right in the face making the twins burst into fits of giggles. "Now that wasn't fair. I was distracted with Nate," Kate whines out tossing the pillow back.

"Sometimes I wonder if I have two grown adult daughters and one toddler myself," I joke getting laughs from two of my daughters and one pout from the last one.

  "I resent that, mom! I'm just more awesome-er than they are. I like to have fun and not be so uptight all the time. So mmph," Kate says sticking her tongue at her sisters and crossed her arms.

   I laugh softly and reach over to pat her shoulder. "Oh mija, that's one of the things we love about you. You brings us the fun," I try to soothe her and her pout starts to change into a smile.

   Our attention goes towards the twins when they start to make a noise. "I'll go make them a bottle," Tanya announces as she stood up and walked towards the kitchen,

  I lean down and pick up Nathan while Irina grabs Natalie. "Mommy's making you a bottle, little dove. You and your sister. Shh shh shh," I softly tell her and begin rocking her. 

   She coos softly as she grasp onto my shirt and holds her zebra to her mouth. Who would've thought we would have babies in our house.

I pat her bum softly and she stares up at me with those adorable wide blue eyes. Wonder how our cousins are gonna handle the new additions to our family.
