Episode 5: Happy Birthday Eddie
Forest near Toro's Enclosure
Patrick's POV
Darius was leading the seven of us through some very tall grass. I was right behind him with an arrow notched. Brooklyn and Kenji were right next to me looked through the surrounding jungle nervously. Everyone was breathing heavy, obviously scared of whatever's out there. After a few seconds of being past the long grass I heard something move behind me.
"AH!" Ben yelled, causing everyone in the group to scream and cower. I aimed an arrow in his general direction. He suddenly let out a sigh of relief.
"Sorry, just stepped on a twig" he sighed.
"Oh, come on Ben!" Yaz said with relief.
"You done gave me a heart attack" Sammy said.
"I should step on you Ben" Kenji warned.
"It's fine Ben we're all on edge" Darius said.
"And lost" Yaz pointed out causing me to sigh.
"We're close. Have a little faith" I assured.
"I don't know. You sure we're still heading to the park Patrick?" Sammy asked.
"Well, we' be sure if I still had my phone, because it has a GPS, a compass app, and is also a phone!" Brooklyn yelled causing Sammy to flinch.
"Sammy, didn't steal your phone!" Yaz yelled pushed Brooklyn away from the Texan "no one stole your phone! No one stole your phone! Can we please stop talking about your phone!?"
"You guys, can you just yell at each other quieter? Please" Ben whispered.
"My fellow campers!" Kenji announced "Chill. What we need here is someone who can make the hard call on what to do next. "Since I'm obviously leadership material... AHH"
He yelled after I fired an arrow that I intended to graze his hair with.
"Oh man, my hair" Kenji whimpered.
"Everyone quiet." I said. "We're going to look for landmarks and find a way to the park. And definitely not under Kenji's leadership. Darius knows Dinosaurs, I know the park. We'll be fine."
"Wait..." Darius said, "I know where we are!"
Darius ran forward and I shrugged. "See?" I said smugly and ran after the kid.
He led us through the bushes, and I saw a fence overhead.
"The Carno paddock. Good eye Kid" I compliment
