ELITE ROMANCE

Chapter Three.

*At Audrey's Apartment*

"That Angelica  girl is really something.  She pisses me off so much." Kenza angrily slumped on Audrey's bed.

"Me too. She's  really annoying. don't pay her any attention. She's not worth it. You  both can't carry that beef from collage until now. One of you has to be the bigger person."  Audrey took off her bag and hung it on her bag rack before sitting on the bed close to Kenza.

"Each time I see Angelica, my heart boils. I can't just seem to shake off what she did to me. If  she eventually apologize to me, Which I know she wouldn't because knowing her, there nothing angelic about her, but she does say sorry one day, I'll keep her at arm length. I don't need such person around me. It just seem like it was yesterday she did what she did." Kenza said looking up at Audrey.

*Eight years ago*

*At the university*

Kenza had just entered into a new relationship.  Kenza isn't one who falls in love that easily so it was something quite surprising for her friend Audrey. Kenza was tell her Audrey all about her guy in class while they awaited their lecturer.

"Who would have thought you would finally decide to date someone after saying No to everyone." Audrey said with excitement.

"I know, right? I use to think that the feeling of having butterflies in your stomach was all just bluff, but feeling it myself and knowing it's actually really is like wow."  Kenza smiled from ear to ear.

"I need to see this guy that finally captured your heart and also ask him what he actually said that got you so in love." Audrey said while tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Audrey, he didn't have to say much. He's just so nice and well-mannered. He's even a gentleman. We've gone on a couple of dates, and they've been special. I just feel like I've found the one. He said he's going to take me to see his parents this weekend. I'm excited and a little bit nervous because what if they don't like me." Kenza went from being excited to being nervous.

"They are definitely going to like you. I mean, who wouldn't? You are sweet, nice, and one of the prettiest girls I know." Audrey held Kenza's hand and smile at her encouragingly.

"Audrey, you're just buttering me up. I know." Kenza pouted her lips.

"I'm not. Am actually serious. You just have to....." Audrey got interrupted by Laura and Angelica who just entered the class and sat down close to them.

"Hey, girlie! what are you girls discussing about? Mind if I know? Because it seems Mr Patrick is going to be late today. There seem to be  a board meeting or something like that, and I don't want to be bored. I just explained a lot. I don't know why I just did. Anyway, we are friends, so spill." Laura turned more comfortably toward Kenza and Audrey and crossed her leg to get more comfort.

"Well, Kenza is in Love." Audrey happyily said.

"What!!! Oh my gosh, Angelica did you hear that?  Kenza, who finds love stupid, is  finally in love." Laura turned her towards Angelica who sat at her side.

"Well, it's not much of a big deal. Everyone falls in love here and there and ends up getting hurt. it's just a matter of time." Angelica said, taking giving Kenza a straight look.

"Ugh, you shouldn't be a Debbie downer all the time. Anyways, don't pay her any attention. Give me all the details." Laura said out of excitement while Angelica just rolled her eyes.

"It's nothing much. The  only thing is that we are both serious about everything, and we see ourselves taking it ourselves taking it to the next level when we graduate." Kenza smiled, not letting Angelica's word affect her.

"That's amazing! I hope I get to be the chief bridesmaid or something." Laura cheered excitedly.

"Don't even think about being the chief bride maid while I'm here. I'm her best friend, so that spot is already taken." Audrey said.

"All right, fine, you win. So, is he handsome, and you know, tall? Tell me he looks like a model who just walked out of a magazine." Laura asked excitedly, waiting for Kenza's response.

"Yeah, that's true. How does he look? You haven't shown me his picture." Audrey asked Kenza.

"He's indeed handsome and tall. I'm not gonna say much." Kenza made a ziplock expression on her lips.

"Come on, tell us. He's indeed handsome and tall doesn't cut the answer for me. When are you gonna introduce him to us, your friends? we definitely need to see this dude and what he looks like for him to capture your heart." Laura asked becoming more curious.

"Yeah, you should introduce us to him. we need to know if he's approved by us or not." Audrey chimed  in to support Laura.

"Count me in.  You need to introduce him to us." Angelica said.

"Mmmm, I don't know about that. But I'll ask him if he's okay with it, then I'll let you girls know." Kenza said with a little bit of unwillingness.

"Text him now so we can be sure, because knowing you, you wouldn't tell him." Angelica signaled Kenza to pick up her phone on her desk and text him.

"Angelica has a point. Text him while we are here." Laura threw some support for Angelica.

"Alright, I'll do that now." Kenza reluctantly picked up her phone and texted him.

*babe, my friends are saying they want to see you. They are quite interested in knowing who stole my heart* (Audrey texted.)

*sure, I've got no problem with that. We could meet up at the café in school, probably around 7ish. I've got practice today.*( Alex texted replied)

*Alright, love you*( Laura texted back to him)

*I love you too*( Alex replied)

"So what did he say?" Laura asked in excitement.

"He said he's cool with it. We can meet him at the café in school by 7ish." Kenza answered while putting her phone in her bag

"That's great! I'm excited." Laura replied excitedly.

"Hopefully, he isn't disappointing." Angelica rudely said. Audrey, Laura and Kenza looked at her.

"You can stay back if you want too. No one is forcing you to come anyways." Audrey replied Angelica, giving her a shut-up look. Kenza smiled at Audrey while Angelica rolled her eyes at Audrey.
