Today marked a double celebration as their twins, a boy and a girl, were turning ten. It was a milestone year, and the Hughes family was determined to make it unforgettable.

The morning sun crept through the curtains, painting soft golden hues across the room where the twins slept soundly. Quinn and Y/N exchanged knowing smiles as they tiptoed into their children's room, armed with trays of breakfast goodies.

"Happy birthday, sleepyheads!" Quinn whispered, gently shaking his son's shoulder while Y/N leaned over to kiss their daughter's forehead.

The twins stirred, their eyes blinking open slowly before widening in excitement as they took in the sight of pancakes, fresh fruit, and a colorful array of decorations adorning their room.

"Dad! Mom! You guys are the best!" exclaimed the boy, his voice brimming with joy.

Quinn ruffled his son's hair affectionately, chuckling at his enthusiasm. "Well, you know, it's not every day you turn double digits!"

Y/N laughed, leaning down to hug her daughter tightly. "And we wouldn't miss celebrating it for the world."

As the family gathered around the breakfast table, laughter filled the air, accompanied by the clinking of cutlery and the occasional sound of syrupy fingers being licked clean. It was a simple pleasure, but one that brought them immense happiness.

Just as they were finishing up, a knock sounded at the door. In marched the Hughes brothers, Jack and Luke, grinning from ear to ear, followed closely by Quinn's parents, Jim and Ellen.

"Happy birthday, you two!" Jack exclaimed, pulling his nephew and niece into a bear hug.

Luke chimed in, tousling their hair playfully. "Can you believe you're already ten? Time flies!"

The twins beamed at their uncle and uncle-in-law, their excitement bubbling over at the unexpected visit. Quinn and Y/N exchanged grateful glances, touched by the presence of their extended family on this special day.

With the whole clan assembled, the birthday festivities kicked into high gear. There were presents to unwrap, games to play, and of course, a homemade cake waiting to be devoured. Each moment was filled with love and laughter, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
