Wooyoung was in the kitchen making dinner for himself and Jongho. Yes, Wooyoung decided to take Jongho home. The boy was sitting on the sofa in the living room.
From time to time, Wooyoung would peek into the living room where Jongho was. The boy stayed where he was, his eyes glued to the TV in front of him.
"Hoho, let's eat first." Jongho immediately got up from the sofa and walked towards Wooyoung.
"What did you cook?" Wooyoung smiled and helped Jongho to sit on the chair. He thought Jongho was too smart for his age.
"Mama made fried chicken and fried rice, Hoho should try it." Wooyoung smiled as Jongho's eyes lit up when the word chicken came out of his mouth.
"Hoho wants chicken!" Wooyoung handed him a piece of chicken thigh to eat.
"Delicious!!!" Jongho squealed in delight as his tongue tasted the flavour of his cooking.
"Mama, Mama, can Hoho eat Mama's cooking again?" He smiled, Jongho's behaviour reminded him of someone, quite a bit.
"Of course." Wooyoung was happy to see Jongho eating so well.
"Hoho, after you're done eating, can I know where Hoho lives?" Jongho looked down, he didn't want to go home.
"Honey, what's the matter?" He walked over to Jongho when he saw the boy's moody and restless expression.
"H-hoho doesn't want to go home." Wooyoung gasped. What exactly had happened to Jongho that made him not want to go home?
"Why? Hoho's Mummy and Daddy must be looking for Hoho," he reached for Jongho's hand, trying to get the little boy's attention.
"D-daddy is angry with Hoho, Hoho is scared." He immediately took Jongho into his arms, as if he needed to make Jongho understand.
"Isn't Hoho's Mama still there?" Jongho shook his head, causing Wooyoung to frown in confusion.
"D-daddy said Eomma is already in heaven."
PANG
Wooyoung's heart seemed to stop. It turned out that a child as small as Jongho was already motherless.
"Shh shh, don't cry anymore, there's a Mama here now." He wiped away Jongho's tears.
"Hoho listen to Mama, Hoho's daddy must be worried looking for Hoho, Hoho loves daddy?" Jongho nodded, his face looking adorable with tear-stained cheeks.
"Does Hoho want Daddy to be sad?" Jongho shook his head this time, he didn't want to see his father sad.
"H-hoho loves daddy, Hoho doesn't want to see daddy sad." Wooyoung smiled, he really wanted Jongho to be his son.
"Mama, can Hoho borrow your phone?" Wooyoung frowned, what for?
"What for?" despite his confusion, Wooyoung gave his phone to Jongho.
"So I can call Daddy to pick up Hoho." Jongho's words had successfully rendered Wooyoung speechless, why not sooner?
"Good thing he's cute."
