“first interaction”

han yeoji rushed out of their house. as usual, she's late again. she didn't even eat breakfast in such a hurry coming for school. well, she is used to it on a daily basis.

she only has 10 minutes to get to her class. worstly, there is no bus to ride yet. she's tapping her feet on the ground while patiently waiting for the next bus. she doesn't even notice her guy neighbor behind her who also attends the same school as her.

when the bus arrived, yeoji immediately got inside. but she was stunned when she couldn't find her bus card in her pocket. panicking, she tried to find it inside her bag. but in her disappointment, she finds nothing.

the guy in her back boredly swiped his card to pay for her. yeoji was shocked so she immediately faced him and realized that he was the guy lives next to her house.

if she's not mistaken, the guy was PARK SUNGHOON.

he was quite popular in their school not only because he is one of the member of the student council but he is also a talented figure skater. plus, he's good-looking, making the girls in their school drools over him.

he was also yeoji's classmate since elementary until they are in middle school. and now, they're currently 2nd year in highschool and still in the same class. but sadly, they don't even had interactions unless it is school purposes.

not until today.

after what sunghoon did, yeoji followed and sat next to him to show her gratitude. she doesn't have a chance to thank him a while ago because she was completely in shock processing what happened. she didn't know that sunghoon has that gentleman side.

"uhm, thank you for that", yeoji shyly said.

she just heard 'tsk' coming from sunghoon. she already know that sunghoon is snobbish and treats everyone nonchalantly. 'but is he really like this after what he did?'

she remained seated while sunghoon next to her. she somehow felt warmth and comfort beside him, even though they're not talking.

a few minutes passed, and the bus stopped infront of their school. sunghoon let her go out first, and they are still 5 minutes late. so, she wanted to make up with sunghoon and thought of buying him a banana milk later.

"park sunghoon, han yeoji, why are you two late?!", their homeroom teacher furiously ask them after they enter the room, while their classmates exchanged glances at the two of them, like they seems really surprised.

"i'm sorry mrs. lee, but we got stucked in a long traffic", yeoji exaggeratedly reasoned out, but deep inside she's already praying that they would not be put in detention.

"is that true, mr. park?", their teacher asked sunghoon hesitantly, obviously she didn't believe her. and now she's looking at sunghoon as if he was only her hope.

"yes, mrs. lee", sunghoon calmly answered. she breathed a sigh of relief at sunghoon's answer. she was saved!

she knew that their teacher would believe sunghoon. the whole school knows how responsible sunghoon is. luckily the young boy didn't disappoint her. but in her curiosity, she was still wondering why sunghoon was late when he always comes to school early than the rest?

"fine. you two can be now seated", their teacher stated, so yeoji immediately go to her seat before mrs. lee changes her mind. sunghoon just shrugged when he saw what the girl did. yeoji just mouthed 'thank you' to him.

'well, it is better to be sure', she thought.
