“a date”

sunghoon found out that yeoji didn't eat breakfast before they go. it is because he saw that she was pale in her seat when he approached her and that's why he asked if she's okay.

yeoji told him everything because she knew sunghoon is really was worried. that's why, sunghoon decided to skipped his practice so they can eat lunch together.

"why didn't you eat? you know it's bad to go out on an empty stomach. what if you'll fainted there?", sunghoon couldn't help to scold her as they walk outside, probably looking for a restaurant to eat.

"why did you leave your practice? i can take care of myself so don't worry", yeoji argued back, rolling her eyes.

"you are not answering my question. why didn't you eat? i can wait for you though", he said but this time, sunghoon's tone is more softer than earlier.

yeoji was stunned. she didn't want sunghoon to wait for her long enough. that was also her reason beforehand. not until she realize that sunghoon was already dragging her inside a traditional restaurant near them.

"find a seat i will take care of ordering", he said once they entered, but yeoji surprisingly tugged the hem of his shirt so he stopped.

"um— i'll pay", she voluntarily said.

"no, i am responsible to treat you today", sunghoon added.

"you already bought me a ticket earlier so i could enter the ice rink, so now i will pay", yeoji still insisted.

that's when they started arguing each other about who would pay. sunghoon didn't want to allow her either, so yeoji did the same. until they decided just to split the bill when yeoji's stomach suddenly growled because of hunger.

both of them were awkward so sunghoon immediately went to the counter to order while yeoji was hitting her forehead in embarrassment. not until sunghoon came back with the foods they ordered.

they both ordered a jjapaguri, it is a noodle dish combining the savory black bean flavor of chapagetti with the spicy seafood taste of neoguri. sunghoon also added fried dumplings, that's why yeoji was surprised by the amount of food they had.

they were enveloped in extreme silence and awkwardness while eating, but still they enjoyed their food. not until the last one dumpling was left in the plate. yeoji was about to take it with her chopsticks but sunghoon also took it at the same time, so they looked at each other.

"take it", sunghoon scratched his head, gesturing yeoji to pick up the leftover dumpling. he really wants the dumpling so bad but he has to give in.

yeoji smiled and said, "okay. i'm not that hard to talk."

sunghoon sighed in disappointment when yeoji took the dumpling. he already thought that she would not gonna take it and would ask him back but that didn't happen.

as they finished eating their lunch, they decided to went on the sidewalk to walk. but this time, they are now talking casually. they talk about school, sunghoon's figure skater life and many more. they laugh and even tease each other.

while they are walking, yeoji spotted an ice cream shop ahead. she insisted sunghoon to enter there so he can't do anything but to agree with her.

"are you two dating? we have a buy one take one promo for today but valid for couples only", the staff asked them as soon as they got there.

"no—"

"he means yes", yeoji cutted sunghoon, as she inserted her hands on sunghoon's arm. the boy was surprised but he just let yeoji talk to the staff of the ice cream shop.

"actually, we are on a ‘date’ right now and it is a perfect timing that we can avail your promo today", yeoji smiled at the staff and started to act like she was leaning her head on sunghoon's shoulder. sunghoon can't hide his smile so yeoji was just secretly winking at him like she was telling him to 'settle down so we can get an extra ice cream.'

the staff seems to believe them because she let yeoji to chose the ice cream flavor they would like. so yeoji select the coffee flavor for the both of them.

"why are you doing this?", sunghoon can't hold his laugh at her when the staff left to get their order. "but at least you chose my favorite ice cream flavor though."

"hey stop laughing! we can save money here", yeoji replied, scolding sunghoon to lower down his voice.

"if you say so, babe", he said as he wiggled his thick eyebrows teasingly, emphasizing the last word he uttered that makes yeoji cringed in the endearment he called her.
