After their little discussion outside, Emma would be the first to walk back in the locker-room. "Emma, I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." Austin apologized - "It's fine Austin, he was gonna find out one way or another." Emma sighed. Anthony looked at Max seeing what he would do. Everything happened so fast for Max. "Maybe not right now..". Emma would just pack up all her stuff, then walk off out the door, Max then followed along after. As soon as they reached the car, no words were said. Max couldn't really bring himself to say anything. The car ride was totally silent until they got into their hotel room. "So uhh, you ready to pour it all out babygirl?" Max asked pulling Emma into his arms. "Honestly not what I was planning to happen, but I guess..". Max chuckled, "Well I mean, like you said earlier, he was gonna find out one way or another."-"Yeah. I just honestly don't understand why he would be so worried about my personal life getting in the way of business when I don't even have the spotlight on me." Emma explained, "I mean, he didn't have a problem doing all those things with other women back then". - "Yet it's so wrong when I do something". Max listened thinking of what he could say "Well maybe he still thinks you're still a baby.. Which, you still are." Max giggled. Emma just rolled her eyes n smiled, "Look, think about it, Austin and Colten are 2 years older than you. Sooo what does that make you?" Max looked down at her smiling, Emma couldn't help but chuckle. Max always knew how to brighten up the moment (hence why she's even with him lol) Even with Max just saying whatever, the topic of Billy being upset about the two was out of the equation. For the rest of the night, Max and Emma would gladly take that time to themselves doing 'whatever'. Finally once all of that was done and they were cuddling. "Y'know, I don't know what I would do if I never met you." Emma smiled looking up at Max. "Hmph, I'm sure you'd probably be doing other things don't lie." Max suggestively smirked. "Max!" Emma giggled. "It's okay. If I were you n' I saw my dad hanging out with somebody like me I never met, woo!". Emma couldn't help but giggle at Max's little antics. Hell, lowkey with the way this situation (if that's what you wanna call it) was going, Emma completely stopped caring. "I love you Max."- "I love you too baby girl." Max said giving her a lil kiss. They then drifted off to sleep.
With the weeks and days after that, Emma and Billy hadn't exchanged a single word. Not that there was any tension or anything going on. He realized there wasn't anything that he could really say. Emma was a grown ass woman. Come to find out at one of their family dinners Billy was now starting to grow fond of Emma and Max being together and couldn't be more happy for his little girl. Soon enough roughly after a year, Max would secretly ask Billy for his blessing to marry Emma in which he accepted. Then On August 27, 2023, at All In, Gunn and The Acclaimed won the AEW World Trios Championship. Once the little celebration died down, Billy would grab a mic, "In honor of this beautiful celebration, we couldn't have done it without this special someone. Everyone, please welcome my beautiful daughter, Emma!" Billy called out in which Emma came out with her best fit looking stunning as always. As Emma finally came out to the ring, fans were roaring with cheers. Instead of Billy talkin' Max would take the mic, "Emma, since we got our reward for somethin' we truly deserve, I think, I should be the one to give you your own.". With Max dropping down on one knee and grabbing something out of his tights, he'd pull out a black box. Emma looked at him confused wondering what in the world could possibly be going. "Emma, we've been together for a year or two. And through that, it's really made me realize somethin', I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.. Will you marry me Emma?" Max asked looking up smiling. As Emma looked down at Max she nodded yes "Yes Max! A million times yes! "and pulled him up for a kiss. Everyone surrounding the two couldn't help but smile, especially Billy. His little girl was growing up right in front of his eyes.
Once Max put the ring on Emma's finger the two would look at each other in awe, they couldn't wait to see what the future stored. <3
