Emily's POV

After JJ told me what happened, I told the rest of the team. They were all very angry and asked me lots of questions which I tried to answer, but after that, I told them to leave JJ out of it and not ask her anything because she seemed pretty upset. I said that especially to Reid because I knew he'd want to check up on her, which is nice of him, but she really didn't want to talk about it yet. He argued a bit at first but eventually agreed.
But I myself was very skeptical about all this. Something felt wrong, but I couldn't put my finger on it. One FBI agent and a cop getting mugged on the street? I don't know about Will, but JJ took down guys much worse than some street criminal. She fought with guys twice her height and weight and yes, this guy was pretty tall, but not that much. After I briefed the team on our new case I had to go into Garcia's office and inquire. My gut was telling me something was wrong and I decided to trust it. I knocked at Garcia's door softly.
"Come in," Garcia shouted from inside. I opened the door and made sure I closed it. "Hi, I umm... I have a strange request," I said, walking over to sit on her desk.     "Ohhh I love strange. Strange is my specialty. Bring it on," Garcia smiled.     "Yeah, but you have to promise me you won't tell anybody about this, okay? I don't care if Reid asks or Hotch or even Morgan you just can't tell anybody about this, alright?" "Well, I don't feel really comfortable doing this, but if it is important, then sure," Garcia answered. "You have to promise me, Garcia. Promise on kittens and cute animal videos and most of all, promise on Morgan," I insisted.               "Wow, this must be really serious. But fine, I promise," Garcia said.    "Good. And don't ask any questions, please. Just find what I want, and I'll owe you a 'no questions asked'. Do we have a deal?" I asked. I really didn't want to explain anything, especially when I didn't know what I was doing myself.           "This really is strange, but okay, deal," Garcia said.          "Perfect, thank you. Now please find me all the info about JJ and Will's mugging. I want to see the report and I want all the details." "But why-" Garcia started to ask but then realized what we just agreed on. "Okay, I'll call you when I have it," she said, a bit uncertain.   "Thank you Garcia, just know that I really appreciate it," I comforted her. "Sure, no problem, Emily. Anything for you," she said and winked.   "Alright, save some of that for Morgan would you," I laughed and made my way out of her office. After that, I grabbed my go bag and went to the jet. Almost everybody was already there, but there was a seat next to JJ, so I sat there and patted her leg. She just smiled at me and went back to her case file.

After we talked about the case each of us went back to the case files to study it. After we land, Hotch and Rossi were going to set up at the police station, Reid and Morgan were going to go to the crime scene, and me and JJ were sent to talk to one of the families. We had an unsub who was killing young blond women and his latest victim was Georgia Combs, 22. She reminded me of younger JJ a bit. After gazing into the files I started getting a headache so I stood up and went to get some water. When I got to the sink I got a text from Garcia:
"So, here is the file you requested. That's not all though please call me when you land and have some time. Luv ya!"
There was an attachment in the text with the file. I looked around and made sure nobody was going where I was. I opened the attachment and looked through the file. I wasn't sure what exactly I was looking for but something just didn't sit right with me. I didn't get much time to read through it though because we were going to land in a bit. Still, I immediately knew something was wrong with it. I sat back in my seat and refocused on the case again.
When we landed, me and JJ headed off to Georgia's parent's house. On our way there it was awfully quiet and I couldn't take it anymore.
