Brandon was lying on his bed, his arm covering his eyes as he sighed. Everyone was acting like today wasn't important. Brandon leaned up in thought, hoping no one had forgotten it. His attention soon darted toward his phone as it dings. Picking it up, he smiled reading the text message that came in. "Happy Birthday, bro!" He laughed, replying to his sister. Before he could send the message she called.
"Happy Birthday!!" He heard two voices in sync. "Soo? Whatcha doing for your birthday, man?" He heard his sister, Haile say. "I'm not sure. You're the first person to call me." His sister gasped. "The first person? Not even Mom?" He laughed and shook his head at her reaction, "Nope." Haile paused for a moment. "Oh, you remember A'Riauna?" She asks. Of course, he remembered A'Riauna. She was his crush after all. He blushed at the thought of her name. "You mean the girl you've been friends with for three years?" He said, trying to play it off. "Yesh," Haile sparks. "We said Happy Birthday together when I called you."
"Oh, so that's what the synced voice was" He laughed. "Yes. Happy birthday." He froze. It was A'Riauna speaking. He blushed a bit more, "Thanks.." Haile buts in "Well, Mom said there was going to be a dinner. That's why I called." She said as a thud went off in the background.
"A dinner?" He mumbled. "I don't remember her saying that." Haile groaned, "Shiiit.. maybe it was supposed to be a surprise? Just- Uh.. when it happens act surprised." He bursts out laughing but it ends quickly as he hears A'Riauna laughing at Haile's mistakes.
