Chapter 3

At Chars House

Charlotte was in the living room watching TV. Her mom and Mr.Kim was gone for the afternoon. Charlotte was checking her phone and heard the doorbell. She jumped up and checked her ring camera. She slowly opened the door and invited Engfa in. Engfa walked in and bowed and took off her shoes. They sat down the couch and Engfa was about to pull out the supplies for the project but Charlotte stopped her. Char saw Mr.Kim location and he was on the way to the house. Char told Engfa to follow her and they went into Chars room. Engfa set up the project outline and Charlotte stared at Engfa.

Char:I thought you didn't know anything in the UK.

Eng(sighs):There's this thing called Google where you look shit up and find what your looking for.

Char:Can you not bully me while I'm home please? I already go through enough.

Eng(nods):I'll only agree to bully you at school.

Char:Why do you want to bully me?

Eng:Your new. That's why.

Char:How long will you bully me for?

Eng:Until I get annoyed. No one else is allowed to bully you.

Char:Anyways. I'll focus on the food part. I can get food from my dad Friday. Will you be able to join me?

Eng(sketching):Mm. First we can either use Legos, popsicle sticks or paper and metal to build the Big Ben. What are you comfortable with.

Char(surprised):I- I'm not sure. (Looks at Engfa)What seems more appealing?

Eng:Legos are pretty cool but may seem childish. If we do the popsicle sticks we would have to color them ourselves and use a hot glue gun. Same with the paper and metal. If you don't want it to be messy let's do the Lego one. We can do a PowerPoint as well to that explains what we build and the food as well.

Char(flustered):Y-you already t-thought ahead? (Turns red)

Eng(Looks at her):Chai ka. Why are you red?

Engfa gently checked Char and moved her hands. Char moved her head and immediately texted her father. Charlotte made eye contact with Engfa and she found herself kissing Engfa. Her eyes widen and she pulled back. She didn't understand why she did that and Engfa was confused. Engfa smirked and looked at Char before working back on the project. Chars door bust opened and Mr.Kin walked in. Char eyed widen and she immediately went to him.

Char:This is my friend Engfa. We are working on a project together.

Mr.Kim:Why is the door closed?! I don't like that. You being alone with a woman. You can't date woman you understand?!

Char(nods):Chai ka.

Mr.Kim(Looks at Engfa):You a lesbian?! I don't want you around my daughter.
