It was a Friday, and by some miracle Taylor was home this time! After spending almost a week away from the little girl she had adopted just under a fortnight ago, Taylor organized movies, made popcorn, bought candy and everything else to have a girls' night out with Ellie!
"Hey! How are you? Ready for our girls night out?" Taylor asks giving the girl a hug
"Hello! I'm fine and yes I'm veryyy excited!!
"Well, let's go! Let's pick a movie to watch" Taylor says pulling Ellie to the couch "Okay, what do you want to watch? Horror, comedy, romance?"
"I think it might be one of... horror?!
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah"
"Ok so... What you think about... Last night in Soho? It's a good movie and it's not so scary"
"Sounds good!"
"Okay, that'll be it then." Says Taylor pressing play making the film start
The beginning of the night had started well... If Taylor hadn't noticed that Ellie hadn't even touched the food.
"Hey El. Won't you eat? Aren't you hungry?" Taylor asks, touching the girl's arm.
"Hmm... My stomach is hurting Tay..."
"Oh baby, why didn't you tell me? Since when?"
"From breakfast... I'm so sorry..."
"That's okay! You don't need to apologize for that, I'll see if I have something for you ok?!"
"Ok, thank you Taylor!" Ellie said, seeing Taylor walk to the kitchen and then returning with a pill and a glass of water in her hand. "El, can you swallow this? If you can't, okay, I can buy you another one."
"I can do it, thank you!"
"Are you feeling something more?" Taylor says, sitting next to the girl and stroking her hair.
"Yes and no! I'm just cold and my head hurts."
"I don't think you have a fever but it's a good idea to check, I'll be right back!" Taylor said, getting up once again but feeling his arm being pulled by Ellie. "Can you stay with me for a minute?" "Of course honey, but I really need to check your temperature and get some medicine for your headache!" "Hey, I'm fine! It's just a slight headache, I'm not even that cold."
As the night went on, Ellie, after taking some more medicine, instead of getting better she only got worse... And Taylor realized this when she saw the little girl sleeping peacefully, but also sweating profusely and shaking.
"El! Shall we take a shower?" Taylor said, waking Ellie up slightly.
"Uh? I wanna sleeppp!"
"Come on, I'll help you."
"Nooo, I don't want that!" Giving up on convincing the, Taylor takes her by the arms, helping her to get up and then picking her up. "Is it okay with you if I carry you?" "Yeah..." Ellie said putting your head on the singer's neck
When they arrived in the bathroom of Taylor's room, Taylor helped Ellie sit on the toilet while turning on the cold water in the shower.
"Sweetie, is it okay if I help you take off your clothes?"
"I think so..."
"Don't you feel comfortable?"
"No, that's not it! It's just weird because... Nevermind!"
"Say!"
"No!"
"Okay, I won't insist but only because you're not well!" "Can I take off your shirt?"
"Yes..."
"And your shorts?"
"Uhm..."
"Okay... Come on, let's get in the shower"
"Is it cold? The water?"
"I don't know, why don't you go in and find out uh?!"
"haha, funny! I'm not stupid!"
"Well you'll have to get in whether you want it or not!" Taylor said, pulling the girl into the water, making her shiver from the cold.
"Taylor that's so cold! Like really really cold!"
"I'm sorry honey, but this will help you improve!"
"I want to get out of here, it's cold!"
"Just a few more minutes..."
"It's cold Taylor!"
"Alright, come on!" Taylor said, handing Ellie a towel.
"Stay here, I'll get you some pajamas!" Taylor says, leaving the bathroom and heading towards Ellie's room, taking a pair of cat-print pajamas for warmth, then returning to the bathroom to find Ellie sitting on the floor almost asleep.
"El! Come here, I brought your pajamas"
"Thanks for taking care of me!
"As long as you're by my side, I'll always take care of you, little El! I love you!"
"Love you too..."
"Come on, you need to eat something, how about some fruit? Banana is good for you?"
"Yeah, sounds great! Thank you!"
After a few minutes Taylor comes back calling Ellie who was lying on the bed waiting for Taylor "Hey little Girl, I brought your banana! Let's get up"
"Hmm... Come to think of it, I'm not that hungry right now, is it okay if I eat later?..."
"I'm sorry but you need to eat something"
"I'm scared of vomiting..."
"There's no need to be afraid, if it happens I'll be there with you!"
"Forever?"
"Yes! As long as I live I will be by your side because I love you and I will always want the best for you!"
"Thank you Taylor... I really really really love you sooo much!"
"I love you too Ellie, I will always love you"
"Now eat your banana!”
"Okay mommy!"
