The prom pt 2

Jones POV

Jenelia:" Let it be, I like this song. " She said as she romoved her hand from my wrist and looked outside the window. She was humming the song with her melodies voice.

Soon we reached at the venue. I got out of the car and went to her. She was struggling with her heavy gown. I sighed and decided to help her.

I opened her side of door and offered her my hand. She looked at me confusingly then at my hand.

She put her hand on top of mine. I gripped her hand and she got out of the car. I closed the door and locked the car.

Author POV

They both turned just to see a couple in front of them kissing like they are devouring each other. They both made a disgusting face.

Jones flinched a little when Jenelia suddenly intertwined her hands with his.

He looked at her and then at their hands. He gestured her to move forward with a small smile and she did.

They both entered the ballroom.

Jenelia:" Where's Elisa and David?" She sais searching for them.

Jones:" Look they are there." He said pointing at a distance where they both were.

Jenelia:" Ok then let's go." She said going towards them but Jones didn't moved making her come back to him with a jerk.

Jones:" Where are you going? They are couple let them enjoy. " He said. She looked at him amazed.

Jenelia:" Umm... So wha-" She got cut off by the voice of the host.

Host:" So, we all are here for you students university prom. As we said we will select prom king and queen tonight. We invite you all to come and dance together with your partner on the floor." He said spreading his hands.

As soon as he said that the dance floor was filled with the students dancing.

Jenelia looked towards Elisa and David, she saw both of them were dancing joyfully.

Jenelia:" Is that really my brother?" She whispered to Jones.

Jones:" I don't know either." He whispered back.

Jones:" Alright, Ms. Harris may I have this dance. " He said forwarding his hand

Jenelia:" What happened to you? Did you hit your head somewhere?" She inquired with a blank face.

Jones:" Nothing, you remember we challenged Elisa and David that we both will be the prom king and queen." He said making her surprised.

Jenelia:" You know those things are for couples." She remarked.

Jones:" So aren't we a couple for tonight." He commented.

Jenelia:" Well, I don't have anything to say." She spoke placing her hand on top of his.

He pulled her to dance floor. They both looked right into each other's eyes.

Jones:" May I have the permission to put my hand on your waist?" He asked. She nodded.

Jones held her one hand and put his another hand on her waist lightly ,not to make her uncomfortable. She put her one hand on his chest.

The soft music played. Thier both bodies were dancing with the soothing harmony of music. Rhythm of the music changed and they swayed thier figures according to the flow.

His hazel eyes shined in the dim light making Jenelia get mesmerized in his eyes. His grip around her waist tightened when he saw the black pupils of her eyes slowly taking over her brown orbs almost.

He moved back and spin her around. She landed on his arms. The music ended. Everyone stood next to their partners.

Elisa:" I forgot to record. "She appeared out of nowhere.

Jones:" What?" He asked confused.

Elisa:" You both dancing, it was really a once in the history sight. " She said wiping her fake tears.

Jenelia:" Ohh stop it Elisa. " She rolled her eyes at her dramatic nature.

Jones:" But why did they stopped?" He questioned.

David:" To choose the prom king and queen. Why did you wanted to dance more? " He asked teasingly.

Jones:" No, not like tha-" He spoke frustrating.

David:" Okey then let's dance my bro, I'll dance with you. " He said as he pulled Jones and got in front of him.

Jones:" No! I don't want to dance with you!" He spoke in fear. David laughed at his reply.

Host:" So the moment you were waiting is here. We are going to announce the prom king and queen of this year's prom." Hearing this the student cheered.

" But but but.. We seem to have a problem choosing them as everyone danced so beautifully, so our heads selected few pairs. They will come on the centre and show their dance moves, the pair with best moves will be chosen." He announced.

" The pairs are Julia Wade and Jake Mayer, Elisa Maxwell and David Harris, Fiona Woods and Rylan Todd, Kyle Scott and Jack timberlake,

Jenelia Harris and Jones Maxwell." The selected pairs squealed in joy.

Jenelia looked at Jones in shock with wide eyes. Jones chuckled at her reaction.

Elisa:" So get ready to lose the challenge." She said with a grin.

Jones:" Huh! Yeah we'll see." He said in attitude and left.

Jenelia:" This siblings surely have some fault in their DNA-" She said looking at David but got cut off when Jones came back and pulled her with him.

The music again started the 5 couples again started to sway thier bodies on the slow rhythm of music.

Jones and Jenelia come in the centre. They both were looking at each other with something unknown in thier eyes.

Something mysterious but sweet!

Jones intertwined his fingers with hers. He stared at her face. Scanning every feature of her face. The make-up complimented her skin so beautifully in the light.

Unknowingly he moved his face closer to hers, but Jenelia moved and kept her focus on the dance not knowing what he was trying to do.

He suddenly stopped which made her also. She looked at him with her frowned and confused eyes. He just shrugged his shoulders and his next move made her eyeballs wide.
