Lost

His next move made her eyeballs wide.

He picked her up in his arms,and spinned her around.

He put her on the floor with his eyes never leaving hers. He just couldn't take his eyes off her. She was too irresistible for him, his desire for her was only growing and he couldn't help that. Even he had no clue what was happening to his heart that day. He didn't know anything expect her at that moment, he forget about the world around them looking into her eyes, which shone more than a diamond. He didn't care about his surrounding, he didn't cared why they were doing, he didn't cared what will happen next. All he cared was about

For her, she was on cloud nine. She felt so at peace when he picked her up. Although she didn't dared to look into his hazel eyes but she could feel his gaze piercing her. It felt like a dream. The dream she saw when she was 8.

The music inaudible to her ears cause all she heard was a soothing melody of slow jazz music. The melody of love and the melody of heaven.

The music stopped but their dance continued. It felt like they were so lost into each other that they didn't even notice the music was no more playing. They were just enjoying each other's company not until Elisa interrupted them.

Elisa:"They turned the music off already. " she spoke with a smug on her face.

They both got startled by her voice. They both looked around and saw everyone was looking at them with amused eyes.

Jenelia:" Ohh yes, I know that, I know that.. It's just Jones was not letting me go" she said putting the blame on him.

Only she knew how much she wished that the Earth should swallow her.

Jones:" Wha-!? Me!?? I thought you wanted to dance with me. " He said in low tone. Elisa chucked at them both.

Host:" If everyone here is ready and done with their things, then should we announce the prom king and queen? " He asked for permission as the crowd squealed with excitement.

" So the winner, no I mean the prom king and queen is Ms. Fiona Woods and Mr. Rylan Todd." He said clapping his hands.

Everyone cheered for them.

When Jones heard this he felt really disappointed at himself. He lost the challenge that his sister gave him although he was more happy for being with Jenelia.

On the other hand Jenelia didn't even hear what the host said, she was so lost into the moment that took place just few mins ago. The impact he had on her was so undeniable.

Jones looked at her and saw that she was spacing out. He shook her by shoulder. She flinched.

Jenelia:" Hu-huh?, yes? " She spoke baffled.

Jones:" We lost" He said with sadness. She widened her eyes.

Jenelia:" Uh.. So what I don't care! " She spoke nonchalantly. Heading towards her brother and best friend.

Jones looked at her figure going away from him with gloomy eyes.

What happened to her? Was all this just a joke to her? What this moment awhile ago was just a challenge or bet for her? Was I just a joke to her? The way she stared at me and made me feel, was that all just meant nothing to her? The emotions in her eyes, what about them? Were they fake? What about...... Us?

These thoughts he had in his mind were making him vulnerable. He dragged his foot from that place and left for his home.

Meanwhile,

Elisa:"What?! Did we really lost? " she asked confirming.

David:" Yeah, but I'm glad you're with me." He said as looked at her and gave a light peck on her cheeks.

Jenelia:" Tf- did I really saw that?" she said coning into the scene shook.

David:" what? Go away! Let us be alone." He spoke annoyingly.

Jenelia:" OK ok I'm going but none of us won the bet, so it's a draw. " She declared as she turned her heels to go towards Jones but her steps halted when she didn't find him there.

" Wait, where's Jones?" She said looking everywhere searching him.

Elisa:" What do you mean? He was here just a sec ago. " She spoke.

Jenelia:" But not now. " She said as she looked at David. They went out if the hall to find him but saw his car already wasn't there.

David:" What?! How can he leave you behind like that? Let's go find him. " He spoke with a hint of unsatisfiction.

Elisa:" Something's wrong, he won't leave her like that. " She approached.

Jenelia:" Let's not talk about this right now. " She said in the middle.

Elisa:" I'll try to call him. " She said talking her phone in her hand and dailing his number.

"Hello? "

"WHAT!? " He blurted out loudly enough for everyone to hear.

"Where are you? " She question sternly at his irresponsible actions.

"At home" He replied coldly and the line went dead.

She sighned.
"He's ho-"

David:" What's this behavior of his? What if I wasn't here would he leave you and Jen like this?? This is so ridiculous! " He said forming a fist.

Elisa:" I know David, he's acting weird. He wouldn't do this" She said convincing him.

David:" What do you mean Elisa? Didn't you heard how he spoke to you? With this much rudeness." He said calmly.

" Whatever it is, I'm dropping you at your home let's go. " He said as he smiled at her and tucked her hair strad behind her ear.

" I'll meet you tomorrow and take care of yourself. " He said caressing her cheeks and gave a light peck on her forehead.

Elisa closed her eyes leaning into his touch nodding assuring him.

"Love you and good night. " He said with a subtle grin.

Elisa:" Love you too" She said back.

Jenelia watched them both from back seat. She smiled at her brother's loving nature towards his girlfriend.
