I was waiting for my friend, Martina, on a bench in the inside patio of our uni's main building, just looking at the columns and autumn affected trees while I was listening to some Porches songs, my current favorite. I was going to stay at her place for a few days, we were going to work on a uni project together and hang out. I was kind of excited to be honest, I hadn't been this close to a friend from school since, maybe, when I was like fifteen. Martina and I met in our first year in Universitat de Barcelona and we slowly became good friends to the point we were always talking or texting or hanging out together. I've been to her house before, met her mom Eva and Manel, saw her little 17 year old brother, Marc, like twice because he doesn't live with them. He's one of those freaky talented footballers and stays at Fc Barcelona's La Masia but they all seem nice enough. Never stayed over before. It was happening and I was pumped. My backpack ready sitting next to me on the bench, the chorus of "Do you wanna dance?" blasting into my ears and I feel a lil' tap on my shoulder, and a big smile looking at me. It's Martina.
"Hola! Shall we go?" she said with a lil heel lift on her feet, feeling the air with happiness.
"Sí!!" I took my backpack with me and took off my headphones, "let's go."

When we arrived at the Guiu household no one else was home, Martina told me her parents would arrive soon and Marc would after them, "I don't even know why he's coming, he has a game tomorrow, he usually stays at La Masia but sometimes he does that, stays home when it's a game he feels nervous about" she explained. We made ourselves some fruit smoothies and got to work on our uni project, we wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. After lots of working and editing, dinner time was upon us, we could smell the food being prepared.
"Hostia! I'm getting hungry and that smell is not letting me concentrate, " said the brunette next to me.
"We can stop now, if you want" I said as we both heard a knock on the door of Martina's room, she shouted "Come in". A tall figure with a fluffy set of hair appeared as the door opened "Tina, the food is ready, you need to—" as I looked up to look at his face he looked back at me and said "—Hey, Carla! I didn't know you were here. Are you staying for dinner?" he asked with a slight smile on his face. I didn't even think he would remember my name or me in general since we only met each other, briefly, twice before. It was probably Martina's doing.
"Yea, for dinner and the weekend, actually. I guess Martina didn't tell you"
"She doesn't tell me a lot of things" he said as he shrugged "Anyway, you two need to come down. Mom wants us to have dinner together, ok?"
"Okay, get out already" said Martina teasingly.
He shut the door screaming in a silly voice "Rude!!"
We both laughed at his antics as I curiously noted how he seemed taller and bigger since the last time I saw him a few months back. He looked cuter too but, em, he's a kid.
"Has he grown since the last time I saw him or am I imagining things?"
"I dunno, he's like 6'2" now and he's putting on muscle weight because he's has hopes of going to play with the first team soon and wants to be able to deal with strong defenders, won't shut up about it" said Martina rolling her eyes
"but that's a big deal, like under Xavi?!"
"Yea, under Xavi fucking Hernández! I know it's a big deal! I'm actually very excited, he's just annoying about it, but tomorrow he has a Barça Atlètic game, so, it's more relax but if he does well, he might get the call up"
"Wow, would be amazing!"
"Ahaaaa! Enough football talk! Let's go eat!!"
