I was at the dinner table talking to Martina waiting for breakfast to be ready, Manel had made us some latte's and we were telling them some funny stories about last party, Marc's birthday, while Eva and Manel were working on everyone's breakfast when Marc came down to join us
"Bon dia"
"Bon dia" everyone replied.
"Ma, I'm gonna just have some eggs and leave for training on the taxi service. You don't have to drop me off" he said as he sat down
"I don't mind, honey" said his mom while finishing up scrambled eggs for everyone
"Don't you want some coffee or tea?" asked his dad
"No, I'm good, thanks"
"You girls want everything on the Guiu morning menu, right?" asked Eva smiling
"Yes!" we both answered at the same time and laughed looking at each other
We had our breakfast along with Marc and his parents, Marc looking in my direction and smiling every now and then. I guess it had made him happy, our small birthday kiss. It had made me happy. We got interrupted the night before by Martina's voice calling for me. We separated quickly, I gave him his jersey and said "Let's go out, act like you're happy with your gift" I said
"But I am happy with my gift"
Martina opened the door before I could "Carla?" she looked at Marc "What's going on?"
"I was giving Marc his bday present, look at it"
"It's a long sleeve Beckham Ac Milan Jersey. A vintage one. Que guay, no?" Marc explained
" I don't love Beckham, but that is a cool looking jersey" she said
"Right? I said "Anyway, we were heading back, let's go" I was relieved to not be questioned by Martina or have her look at me weird, but that also meant that nothing else happened the rest of the night and nothing was spoken about it except a text when I was in bed after the party was over saying

[Marc G] My favorite part of my birthday present was the second part

Marc was now standing up from the table saying his taxi got there and he needed to go to training now. He went to give goodbye kisses to everyone and when it came to me he gave me a small kiss on my cheek and said "I'll text you later, bestie, thanks for helping with everything"
"Bestie?" Martina protested
"Yes, Tina, you have to share now"
"No me jodas, tio" Mar said annoyed
"Don't be selfish"
Light laughter around the table was the communal reaction.
"Adeu" Marc said as he left with his Fc Barcelona backpack.
I left the Guiu house after dinner at 8pm. Martina and I had spent the day together and I appreciated it. I needed girl time with her to get my mind away from Marc, from uni. A bit of shopping, walking around downtown, went to a vintage book store and a sneakerhead store. She talked about Mateo, things were getting heated and she thought he might ask her out soon.
I was at my dorm apartment, I quickly reviewed my homework for the next day and got into my PJs after a quick shower when my phone vibrated.
[Marc G] Hey, Carlita. How was your day with my sister?
[Carla] Hi. It was such a fun day. We did a zillion things! Hbu?
[Marc G] Good. Training was good but you know what kept me the busiest? I've been thinking all day about this girl that kissed me yesterday
[Carla] A girl kissed you? On your birthday? How lucky🤭
[Marc G] What she doesn't know is that that was one of my birthday wishes
[Carla] You wished for a kiss?
[Marc G] Well, I wished for a 3 things but one of the things was a kiss specifically from her
[Carla] What were the other 2 things?
[Marc G] I can't tell you, they won't come true if I do 🤔.
[Carla] okaaaaaay🙄😛
[Marc G] I can tell you after they come true
[Marc G] anyway...next week I have Wednesday night off and would like to see you.
[Carla] Oh? You want to meet somewhere or come over?
[Marc G] Come over? Por fa?
[Carla] Yea, you can come over. I wanna see you too
[Marc G] It's a plan 😘
