Author's Pov ~

In the dimly lit corridors of New Age's Academy, Shivaay’s footsteps echoed as he sprinted, heart pounding, his mind racing faster than his legs. The source of his panic? Mukherjee Sir, the school’s notoriously strict mathematics teacher, whose wrath he had inadvertently invoked by forgetting his homework.

"Shivaay, stop right there!" Mukherjee Sir’s voice thundered behind him, closer than he had hoped.

He glanced over his shoulder, a mistake that cost him precious seconds. In his haste, he misjudged a turn and collided with something soft yet firm, sending them both sprawling to the ground. As he blinked, trying to make sense of the sudden impact, he found himself face-to-face with a pair of striking, deep brown eyes that seemed to hold the universe within them.

The new girl, her hair cascading like a waterfall around her, looked up at him with a mixture of surprise and amusement. For a moment, time itself seemed to freeze. Shivaay was captivated by her beauty, a stark contrast to the chaos of his predicament. Her delicate features and the warmth in her gaze made his heart skip a beat.

"I'm so sorry," he stammered, trying to find his footing but still caught in her gaze.

"It's alright," she replied, her voice like a melody, soothing his frantic nerves.

Before he could say more, the imminent threat of Mukherjee Sir's arrival snapped him back to reality. He scrambled to his feet, offering his hand to help her up, silently praying for forgiveness in her eyes. As they stood, the chase seemed almost forgotten in the enchantment of the moment.

"Who are you?" he managed to ask, curiosity and awe lacing his words.

"I'm Anahita," she smiled, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear.

The spell was broken by the sound of Mukherjee Sir’s shoes clacking closer. Shivaay knew he had to move, but Anahita's presence had already left an indelible mark on him. With a quick, apologetic smile, he bolted down the corridor, Mukherjee Sir's shouts echoing after him.

As he ran, he couldn't help but glance back, catching a final glimpse of Anahita, who stood watching him with a smile that promised new beginnings amidst the chaos.
