TWs- Swearing, Death, Sickness, Blood/Gore, Voices/Insomnia

(Cosmo POV)

I was walking down the path back to my Tribe's camp when a voice appeared behind me.

'Cosmo! Y/N, where are you?" That voice was Fire.

"Please, where are you?" The other one was Water. They were my daughter and son, both accustomed to this cruel and stupid world. I walked over to where they were calling for me.

"I'm here, I'm here. Are you two okay?" I asked worriedly. They looked relieved to see me and hear my voice.

"You disappeared and then we couldn't find you!" They were worried about me, that's all. I could understand their fears. I was always hunting for the Tribe or doing some random shit, and once they got to know me more than just the Alpha, they started to do the same things, like helping me out in the training sessions and all that.

"Water, Fire, I'll be fine. I'm the Alpha for a reason!" Waterdrop still wasn't convinced and led me back into camp. Several werewolves rushed up to me, including Robin, the healer, who held herbs and was checking me for any injuries. Sadly, I remembered Lunar, my mate that had died of a sickness during the winter. I could picture his lifeless face as I remembered what Karl had said to me.

"Karl, I got it, I got it!" I had said, running up to Karl Jacobs with the healing substance that could fix whatever was wrong with my ill mate. Little did I know that Lunar wasn't just ill, he was dying. Karl's face was dark, his violet eyes hidden by his sadness.

"Cosmo. There's news." I gasped in half relief, hoping to hear that he was recovering.

"Y/N came- and she did everything she could, but in the end, she- he couldn't hold on for long enough. He's dead," Karl sadly explained. I had frozen in horror. The voices were ringing in my ears.

"Wh- what...? No, if we can bring Lunar the herb, then he can be alive again!" I whispered hoarsely, sinking to the ground and wrapping my arms around my knees, pulling them close to my chest. Karl kneeled down to my level, holding me tightly.

"He's gone, Cos. He's gone," Karl murmured into my hair.

"He is, isn't he?" I murmured almost frantically, then bursting out in heavy tears.

No.

Dead.

Not him.

Why the fuck did it have to be him?

Blood for [redacted]! That one always puzzled me. But I couldn't think. My lover, gone, in the blink of an eye. Y/N could've saved him. She should've. But she didn't. That useless bitch. I was going to make her pay for not saving the one I loved. My fists had clenched in hate and anger. The anger wasn't anger. It was revenge. The five-, no, six stages of grief.

Denial. My first reaction.

Anger. Y/N didn't save him.

Bargaining. Me protesting for a way to make sure Lunar didn't leave.

Depression. I had frozen and couldn't move.

Acceptance. I accepted that he was gone.

We want to add one more. Revenge, came the voices. Y/N couldn't save him. Y/N had the chance to but never took it. Y/N should've been the one to die.

The voices took over my body. I could only watch. I stood up and turned to walk into the den. I walked into the den, my eyes dark with fury and hatred. My hands were balled up into tight fists. My jacket, the one Lunar gave to me when I was five, was thrown against the wall as I stomped into the den, looking for my target. My eyes landed on the young, tired girl, putting away the excess supplies. I lunged at her and picked her up by the throat.

"You! You traitor! You killed my lover, you piece of shit! You deserve to go to hell! Fuck no, the voices took over. They loved Lunar. And they now hated Y/N for something that wasn't her fault. The voices, something that "The Blade" taught me to control, was demanding blood. And they were about to get it. Out of someone I swore I'd never hurt.

"I- I'm so sorry..." I managed to say through the voices' control, but my voice was broken from sobs. I finally got back in control and dropped Y/N.

"I'm a fucking monster," I spat at myself, turning to walk away, but I felt something warm and sticky flowing down my face.  More specifically, my right eye. It was blood. Fuck, fuck, fuck, I thought desperately. I fucking ran, ran for a mirror. I dashed in front of one, and sure enough, it was red with a black cross. The fucking Blood Eye never left me alone. I washed the Eye that cursed me for months all away, so it was the blindish white it's always been from since I was four.

I snapped myself out of the memories.

"Guys, I'm fine." I assured them. They looked unconvinced.

"Then why is your tail covered with blood?" Robin demanded. I flinched. Fuck.

"The enemies have been setting more traps recently..." I mumbled. The others gasped in shock and horror. It never should've been thought of. Fuck you, Dream, I thought bitterly.

"Impossible! How will my kits be able to learn how to feed themselves if they must watch their paws at every step?" Forest demanded.

Always her and her kits. Selfish, whispered Shado, a voice inside my mind. I could barely disagree. She's still my daughter, Shado, I thought in reply. I realized that all eyes were on me.

"I don't know..." I muttered self-consciously, feeling defeated. What would Lunar have done...? Why do I have to face these problems alone?! I demanded silently. Water and Fire walked up to me; the two were siblings and always did things together. I wished me and Alex had that chance again. But Alex is dead. And I have to accept that every day.

"Don't beat yourself up, Mom. Dad's death wasn't your fault. Neither was what the voices did afterwards," Water explained softly, sighing.

"Yeah..." I responded distractedly. I couldn't forget how I nearly killed Y/N. Wait, where the fuck is Y/N?! I thought suddenly. "Have you guys seen Y/N?"

"We sent her out to look for you. She hasn't come back yet," Fire explained.

"Why didn't you fucking tell me she was missing?!" I demanded. Y/N was me. From a future lifetime. I could not lose her now. I have to fucking find her, I thought. Water stayed quiet, and Fire looked for words to explain. No, no, no, no, no, nononononononononono," I thought.

Calm down, you're giving me a headache, Shado told me.

I didn't listen and rushed out of camp. I have to find her, I have to find her, I have to find her, I have to find her, I have to- A scream interrupted my thoughts. Y/N's scream. I ran towards the sound, going deeper into the lush forest, an emerald green turning into an evergreen leaf as I neared the sound. A clearing was just ahead. The source of the scream. I burst into the clearing.  5 masked people had picked Y/N up and swung her over one of the men's shoulders. I knew who they were. Niki, Jack, Fundy, Quackity, Purpled. I tried running after them. Niki turned and shot an arrow straight into my chest. I sunk to the ground and laid limply on the rough terrain. I heard a final cry from Y/N before blacking out completely.
