A new chapter is here.
There is a slight chance that I won't be posting another chapter next Wednesday, so I do apologize for that in advance.
I either publish it on Thursday or Friday - all will depend on if I will have any network connection as I will be going for a hike.
Enjoy reading.

"Because I know his secrets, kid." Grandma smiled. "It is a past that I am not proud of and I still have to live with it." She sat down on the small stool. "Your father was my best friend, we grew up together, we were promising each other to stay true to ourselves and then he fell in love with me."
"Stop joking, my father loved only my mother."
"He loved me first, kid." Grandma smiled gently. "Your mother was still eight years younger than us, when she moved to the house next door. He was not paying any attention to her, only when we were about to graduate she somehow changed during a summer break."
Kinn was not asking any questions now, he was just listening to grandma's voice and he tried to figure out if she was lying or not, because his father never talked about his past, he only talked about their mother and how much he loved her.
"He was a really smart kid, he excelled in everything he did." She smiled and spaced out for a short while. "We did everything together, he helped me study and I helped him with getting laid." She chuckled. "No one liked nerdy kids even in our time."
Vegas chuckled, he saw a few photos of his father when he was younger and he couldn't stop laughing back then, until his mother slapped his head and shushed him.
"Korn was fashionably late, but I tried to help him as much as possible. But one late summer night your mother appeared in front of the bonfire and she looked stunning. Everyone had their eyes on her and she could have picked anyone she wanted and she was interested in him." Grandmother pointed her fingers on Gun. "She immediately fell in love with him, but he was not interested and Korn tried to do everything possible so she would have noticed him. It was for a few months before Korn started to change, he was more possessive, he was not talking to me that much and overall he distanced himself from all of us."
The silence in the room was really heavy, only the gentle breathing of a sleeping Gun was disturbing it. "I found out that he started to blackmail her, he was threatening her with killing all her pets at first and I thought that he was joking, but the time I found a dead cat without a head and then I heard a terrible scream I knew he was not joking."
"That's not possible.." Kinn tried to oppose..
"So, have you ever had a pet?" Grandma asked and Kinn started to think, when he shook his head she smiled. "He hated pets so much that he killed each one she brought home, until she gave up." Grandma frowned all of a sudden as she noticed a movement on the bed.
"That's just a muscle twitch, he is still sleeping." Vegas explained and grandma continued.
"Korn was really upset with Gun, because he was simply better in everything, he was handsome, kind and people loved him for no reason. Even though he was excelling in everything he couldn't create that emotional bond that you," she pointed at Vegas and Kinn "managed to create with Pete and Porsche." Grandma looked at Vegas and Kinn with a smile on her face. "Just like you two, there were times that you couldn't stand next to each other in the same room when you were younger and don't ask me how I know that, because you wouldn't believe me if I told you. Also the time Porsche came into your life, Kinn you changed everything."
