As Pete slowly walked up the stairs and entered his room he noticed Vegas sitting on the ground, laptop on his hands.

"Are you okay?"

"Korn is dead." Vegas whispered, "Kinn took care of it and his siblings helped him out, I need my father to be back in Bangkok as soon as possible."

Vegas looked so troubled, so Pete didn't want to bother him with his thoughts. "When do you want to go back?"

"I want you to enjoy your time with grandma, so I can go whenever you want. Kinn and Kimhan are taking care of things for now."

"Okay, that's great." Pete tried to sound as supportive as possible, but his heart was aching. "I don't feel safe here, Vegas." Pete finally admitted. "The vibe between grandma and uncle is pretty normal and that is strange and I really don't like it."

"I noticed too, but I don't know what to do about it. I can only hope that they won't hurt you."

"Hurt us, Vegas." Pete hummed and smiled. "We belong together."

Vegas smiled and kissed Pete's forehead.

"We can stay here for a few days and then go back to see how things are going. Also I missed the race so I need to train for the upcoming one."

"Okay, shall we go for a jog in the morning to start our day?" Vegas offered and Pete couldn't be more happier about it, he started to nod like crazy. "But you have to wake me up with a nice kiss, you know." Vegas added and Pete cuddled him more.

They both could hear how grandma called them for dinner, so Pete washed his face quickly and they walked downstairs together hand in hand.

"Thank you, grandma." Vegas hummed and he noticed the frown on his father's face. "I will need to talk to you later Vegas. I just got a message from Tankhun."

His father said firmly and Vegas only nodded.

The dinner's ambiance was strange but all of them tried to ignore it.

"How is your relationship going?" Grandma asked out of the blue, her eyes sparkling with joy when she noticed how shyly Pete smiled.

"We are working on it, slowly." Vegas hummed and it was supposed to mean that they do not want to talk about their relationship anymore, but grandmother stood her ground, still talking about how amazing it would be to have great grandkids and how she would enjoy it so much until Gun shouted at her to shut up and eat.

Pete wanted to say something, but the omega in him stepped back and he realized that there is a huge problem between Gun and his grandmother.

"You don't get to shout at me in my own house!" She shouted back all of a sudden, causing Pete to jump from the chair and leave the dining area.

"If you excuse me.." Vegas didn't hesitate for a moment and followed Pete, he found him throwing up in the bathroom upstairs. "Are you okay?"

"I am not.." Pete mumbled quietly before he threw up again, he felt so sick.

"What happened.." Vegas asked as he kneeled right next to him, gently caressing his back.

"It was grandma who killed my grandfather.." Pete mumbled, his eyes closed and his stomach almost upside down. "A memory just flashed in when I heard her dominant tone.."
