Izumomo: Second Chances

Givrack's Offer!

     As the smoke cleared, All Might and Aizawa arrived. However, the heroes and the mutt of 1A froze at the sight. In a small crater covered in dust and rubble were the remains of Izuku Midoriya and Momo Yaoyorozu. Their bodies were blown apart from Katsuki's furious blasts. "D-Dear l-lord. Bakugo. Wh-What have you done?" All Might said as tears fell, and his body trembled as his successor was slain all because an arrogant brat couldn't accept failing a test. Smirking as he looked to All Might, the mutt chuckled. "Hehe. What I had to. That deku didn't deserve your power now. Now, there's no longer an obstacle in my path. I will become the strongest hero!"

    The heroes looked to the mutt as if he'd lost his mind. Aizawa, in an instant, canceled Bakugo's quirk as he bound him in his capture scarf. Shaking with barely controlled fury, the sleep deprived hero glared death at the foolish mutt. "Hero, my ass. I can't believe I misjudged you so badly. I thought Midoriya had been the instigator. That he had bullied you leading to this childish personality of yours. I'm an utter fool. I should have listened to you, Yagi. To you and the staff. Now, a pair of surefire heroes lay dead due to my biased views and lack of punishing the villain like he deserved." Bakugo was confused as he simply killed a quirkless freak who manipulated All Might into giving him his quirk.

    But when his eyes fell upon Toshinori Yagi, he saw sadness and absolute fury etched on his face. Before Bakugo could react, All Might once more regained his hero form, and Detroit smashed the mutt, shattering his jaw, knocking his teeth out, and rupturing his right eye. Aizawa wasn't normally one to let violence happen to children. But in this case, he made an exception. Shortly thereafter, the staff arrived and were horrified by the outcome of the fight. A furious Nezu ordered Aizawa to tell the students as well as the Bakugos, Yaoyorozus, and Inko Midoriya as his final acts as a UA teacher. To everyone's surprise, Aizawa accepted without argument. For the first time, his normally sound logic had failed him horribly, and the cost was two students with the abilities to reach top ten status. OFA was forever lost, and the Yaoyorozus not only stopped funding UA but filed many lawsuits along with Inko Midoriya, which resulted in UA closing its doors not even six months later. Without OFA, Shigaraki and AFO soon gained control of Japan, and not long after, every country fell prey to the demonlord and his apprentice.

    However, this was not the end of Momo Yaoyorozu and Izuku Midoriya. As soon after the blast that killed them, they were standing in a dark void with the crying Momo in Izuku's arms. They had quickly deduced that they were dead. They were killed by an insane dog over his jealousy and inferiority complex. But as Izuku did his best to comfort the heiress, he couldn't help but wonder why they were in this place. "You still kept that analytical mind, Izuku Midoriya. I apologize for not being able to save you two." A powerful booming voice filled the void, stopping the duo cold as it reverberated around them.

    "M-Midoriya-kun.... what w-was that?" Asked the trembling heiress as she held on to the boy as tight as she could. Before either could say another word, a brilliant flast of light appeared before them. As it dissipated, there stood a giant being made of pure energy. "Have no fear, Miss Yaoyorozu. I mean you two no harm. Quite the opposite, actually. I am here with an offer. A second chance as it were." The man said with a sad smile on his face.

    Both Momo and Izuku looked to him in awe. Not quite understanding what he was nor why he was here. "Wh-What do you m-mean a second ch-chance?" Izuku asked in an effort to gain time to help figure out what he should do. "Exactly as I said Izuku. I normally can't affect the living. But once a life ends, I can do as I please. For millennia, I have watched the Earth as well as another world called Gaia. In all that time, never had I seen ones with destinies as powerful as yours and Momo's. You were to become the top two heroes. Changing the society of this world in ways never thought possible. But due to that Pomeranian, your lives ended. Somehow, your fates were severed before that battle. Seeing that I made a choice. I can revive you and return you to the Earth, but there is a catch as it were."

    The duo blinked as they looked to one another and listened to his words. But both were unable to understand how the being could do that. "Wh-What's the catch, Mr. Uhhhh?" Momo trailed off as she asked and  met the eyes of the being. Smiling the being answered. "Givrack is my name, Momo Yaoyorozu. Now, to do this, I must send your souls into the bodies of two powerful heroes. You must live their lives and stop a planetary threat. Once you defeat this foe, I can then return you to the Earth shortly after the mutt murdered you. On Gaia, you will be given the memories of the people you two will replace as well as a rundown for how that world works. This way, you know what to do. From then on, you two must fight and stop the villain responsible for the world's destruction. Save that world, and you will keep their powers as I return you to life on Earth. Unfortunately, due to your deaths, you both lost your quirks. You'd once more become quirkless Izuku Midoriya, but you will be one of the strongest heroes ever along with Momo. Will you accept my offer?"

     Momo was stunned. She had learned during the fight that Izuku was quirkless until All Might gave him that quirk. As well that Bakugo put Izuku through hell over his quirkless diagnosis. Looking into his big emerald eyes, her choice was made clear. As if her eyes conveyed her choice, both teens looked to Givrack. The deity smiled before he snapped his fingers, and the duo were shot through the cosmos. "Thank you for accepting. I can't wait to see you as you grow and stop the villain." Were the last words the duo heard before being blinded by a radiant white light.

     This is their second chance. The opportunity to regain their destinies and become world-renowned heroes. Not just on their planet but on Gaia as well. This is how Izuku Midoriya and Momo Yaoyorozu not only saved two worlds but became the mightiest power couple of all time.
