On one side you have Evan. The curly hair boy that tries to get closer to Tara every time he has this occasion of it. She doesn't hate him for trying but he can be very pushy sometimes. Yet, he is tall and cute, and in the end, he is a bit of the popular boys.

One the other side you have Y/N. A good friend of hers, she knows her pretty well by now and they are pretty close. Y/N is a nerd, she is in the video club of the school actually, and she always has music in her ears like she is going to die if she takes her headphones off.

Both of them are deeply in love with Tara, and she knows it.

But she is on the time of her life when she is questioning her sexuality and everything is jostling in her head.

Evan is doing way too much to have Tara and she isn't sure if she hates or likes it. She feels pressured by every moves he tries on her but, she likes the idea of being loved and wanted, and how Evan is desperate, she enjoys it a lot.

Y/N, ohh well. She's never tried - not even once - to flirt with Tara, even when she gives her the occasion. Everyone knows Y/N loves her like a crazy woman, she would do literally anything, the attention she gives to Tara when they are in the same room shows it all, but, she's never had the courage to do something. She's cute, Tara feels safe around her but deep down, she really needs her to take the shot at least one in her life.

Boy or girl ? Tara doesn't know, her sexuality is like a huge maze and she can't get out. But she likes girls. Since the moment she started questioning herself when she was looking more at the girl when she was watching pornography at 12. Or since she had this little crush on Amber when they were in middle school.

But she likes boys too, for some stupid reasons.

Evan is cool and he gets out a lot with his friends. He tells very loudly in front of everyone how much he wants Tara which makes her feel flustered each time.

Tara guesses Y/N is discrete because she's never said anything like that... but she is nice, so nice. Y/N treats her like a princess.

She needs to be sure.

With the rest of her friend group, Tara is eating her food at a picnic table under a hot sun. She chews with her food more than she needs to and swallows slowly. Her mind is racing with a thousands of questions. Chad and especially Y/N look at her concerned but it's Mindy who asks her what's wrong. She barely answers the question and keeps chewing her food.

When she sees the bell is gonna soon ring she packs up her stuff and stands up. With a quick reflex, Y/N grabs a small part of her shirt. "Are you okay ?" She says softly.

She smiles. "I'm fine, just need some space." Y/N nods in understanding.

With that, Tara walks away. When she arrives at her lockers - to grab the books she needs for her next class - the hallway is almost completely empty, everyone is outside enjoying the warmth weather.

That was before Evan quickly arrives and leans his body next to hers. He touches the crook of her waist. "Hey pretty."

Scared of that little apparition Tara tenses up and turns around nervously, capable of hear her heart races. When she spots him she hits his arm. "You scared me ! Don't do that."

"Oh I'm sorry," he chuckles, "didn't mean to."

"Yes you did." They exchange small words, like usual. They don't really have any deep conversations, it's always just about the routine and the surface of things. Evan doesn't seem to be the talky genre even if Tara loves talks.
