Olivia Rodrigo - A Night When Our Star Shines Like No Other [ GXG ]

Chapter 1

I take a look around. The airport of LA is quite a mess but I'm not complaining cuz it's huge. It's early in the morning and I'm taking a flight back home. I can't wait to be back at my place, by the sea, in my restaurant. LA is really not for me.

While I Check-in, I notice that someone is looking for their plane ticket making quite a fuss next to me. I turn around to see a short brunette searching inside her bag for her ticket. We make eye contact and I break immediately because I saw her eyes. They were a pretty shade of brown.

I turn back around and give her a soft reassuring smile. She looks at me again and at that moment she finally finds it.

She passes the check in and comes in the line behind me.

"Thanks" she says.

I am caught in surprise. I didn't know what to say. I turn back and just nod and say :

"it's nothing really. just a smile"

" well a smile can make someone's day doesn't it?" she replies

"Did it make your day?" I say. This girl has really picked my interest.

"Well it did. What seat are you?" She asks

"30a. How about you?" I say

"30b. Crazy huh" she says giving a heartwarming smile while she lets out a soft laugh.

"Yeah. Nice to meet you stranger and future seatmate. My name is Argent. Yours?" I give my hand for her to shake.

"Olivia. You don't seem to be from around here, judging from your accent" she says while shaking my hand.

"Well no,I'm not actually. I am half greek half Australian but I have lived my whole life in Greece. So, yeah I have a weird pronunciation of words" I say

"I think it's cute. I've met very few people with an accent and a pronunciation in English so I think it's cute" Olivia says

"Well thank you" I reply somewhat ending the conversation as the line to the airplane progresses.

While I'm getting seated at the airplane I hear a familiar voice coming from behind.

"Can I get your seat number please?" the air hostess asked

"Yeah I'm 30b" the familiar voice said

The air hostess waves for Olivia to seat next to me as the pilot says we are getting ready for take off.

While Olivia gets seated next to me I send a quick text to my mom to let her know I'm on the flight.

Text me when you are starting

Yeah mom I won't forget

We'll take off in a few minutes. I'll land in London and then I'll take a direct flight to Corfu. Can't wait to see you.

"You love your mom don't you?" Olivia says taking me off guard

"Yeah I love her so much" I reply to her genuinely.

A few minutes of silence go by with the pilot making the final announcement for the takeoff I look at Olivia trying not to make it too obvious that I'm staring. She seems familiar. Like I'm sure I've seen her somewhere before. She catches me looking and I quickly try to save it by making a question.

"I can't exactly say why but you remind me so much of someone but I can't exactly name who" I state making Olivia look at me again with a confused expression.

"Well I'm quite famous. Have you seen how many people asked me to take a photo with them after we met?" she asks laughing at my inability of naming her.

"Well I know your first name is Olivia but can't quite make the last name. Don't tell me though I'll find it myself. Like I've seen you in the Tv but I can't remember your last name" I say kinda annoyed that I can't remember her last name.

"While you try to find it imma take a nap. When you finally find it just tell me. I believe in you" she says smirking at me while putting the night mask on top of her eyes.

I look at her one final time before I let her drift to sleep.
