Chapter 13

I'm now at the airport standing in front of my gate. No time to think just do it. Either way you've already lost.

I enter the gate and go straight for my seat hopefully on the window.
The flight is 3 and a half hours to Athens and I just can't wait to go back home.

The flight was okay. Not too much of a husle around just people talking and laughing.

I managed to sleep a few hours and thankfully the flight attendants gave me a sleeping mask because it was so bright.

I was at the front door of the International Airport of Athens and I was just standing there, seeing the place I had missed the most.

I'm back.

The past I have tried so well to avoid the past few years feels incredibly close to me today. A nostalgic smell of home floods my nose and all I can think about is Olivia.

Am I really that bad?
I literally knew this girl for almost 2 days and I was already head over heels.

I need to get my shit together. I need to forget. I need to get drunk.

All these thoughts in my head gave me a headache. So much that I decided to do something I haven't done in quite some time.

Call Alex.

Alex was my best friend back in highschool. He was like the only one I could rely on, even after my father's death.

He was always there for me. Until we got in problems with drugs. He was a dealer. He was dealing drugs in Highschool and I was helping him keep track of the products and clients.

We grew apart after highschool ended. I was in rehab. He continued doing this shit. I guess once you start it's hard to get out.

We were in contact for a bit before we entirely lose connection. Now we only call each other for birthdays and even that is unsure of.

But now I needed something to get over Olivia. And I definitely needed it fast.

I pressed the number from my contacts and just took a deep breath.

"Παρακαλώ; (Hello?)" someone said in the other line.

"Γεια Άλεξ. Ξέρω έχει περάσει καιρός. Πως είσαι;"( Hi Alex I know it's been a while. How are you?) I say

"Είμαι καλά Ασημίνα. Πως και με πήρες;(I'm good Argent. What happened and you suddenly called me?) he said

"Χρειάζομαι δόση. Πόσα θες για 1 σακουλάκι; (I need a package. How much for one?)

"Δε χρειάζεται να πληρώσεις. Ξέρεις πως πάνε αυτά. Έλα κατά τις 10 στο παλιό λύκειο. Θα τα πούμε εκεί.
(You don't need to pay. You know how this works. Be in the old highschool by 10. I'll see you there.) He said

"Εντάξει σε ευχαριστώ ρε αδερφέ. Σου χρωστάω( Ok, thanks brother. I owe you one) I said and hang up

Time skip

It was about 10 now and I was jumping the fence of the Old Highschool. I could see 3 dark figures in the stairs one of them instantly recognisable as he was Alex.

His Blond buzzcut was shining in the dark. And I couldn't help but smile. It was nice seeing him again. Even if it even was for this reason.

I checked my phone before coming here Olivia had replied. I just couldn't open the message. I was too much of a pussy to face her. I just need to forget about her.

"Βιβες. Τι λέει ρε Άλεξ; ( How are you mate? Is everything good Alex?) I say dapping his hand.

"Μου έλειψες αρκετά ρε μαλακά( I have missed you so much Malaka) he says.

We end up taking and joking around for way longer than expected and I'm just having so much fun.

After about 3 hours my lungs were filled with cocaine and I was just laughing at everything. Alex sobered me up with one of his magic tricks that he had learned so many years dealing drugs.

I was heading back home sober, but now my thoughts were back at Olivia. Fuck.

I post a Story on my Instagram account end just fall into my bed falling asleep in seconds.
