"I still remember exactly the day I met Amelia for the first time. Lexi and I were twelve, and Amelia was only eleven. Lexi had invited me to her house to work together on a school project. Her little sister was also there, and I was curious to meet her." rue began to tell.
"When I arrived, Lexi was in the kitchen, and I heard music roaring from one of the rooms. Curious, I went after the sounds and found Amelia in her room. She sat on the floor, surrounded by sketches and crayons, with headphones on her ears."
"I carefully knocked on the door frame to get her attention. She looked up, took off the headphones and stared at me with these big, curious eyes. "Hey, I'm Rue, Lexi's friend," I said. "Hi, I'm Amelia," she answered briefly and turned back to her drawings," said Rue.
"In the beginning, it was hard to break the ice. Amelia was reserved and didn't speak much. But she had something fascinating about her, a depth that you rarely see in someone her age. The more time I spent with Lexi, the more I got to know Amelia. We found common interests, and she began to open up to me."
"Amelia was incredibly creative, and her drawings were impressive. But it was also clear that she had a darker side. She was often angry and felt misunderstood. Nevertheless, we made a special friendship. She had this intense fire in her, which was both attractive and dangerous."
"Years later, when I first brought Amelia to the store of fezco, Ashtray came into the picture, and a lot changed. He and Amelia understood each other immediately and their relationship quickly became intense. They found comfort in their common contempt for the world and became inseparable."
"Then came Molly Hughes. She tried to drive a wedge between Amelia and Ashtray. Amelia was never someone who gave up easily, and her reaction to Molly's interference was extreme. That it would end in such a way that she would kill Molly and Ashtray would help her destroy the evidence, I would never have expected that."
"When I look back now, I see the warning signs that I overlooked at the time. Amelia was a lost soul, and her story ended in a tragedy that affected us all." Rue ended her speech in front of the whole school when she was on stage.
