The revelation of Josh, a good friend of Amelie and Ashtray, about the disturbing drawings in Amelié's locker sent a shock through the school and let the police investigate in a new direction. Suddenly, Amelié and Ashtray were targeted by the authorities, and their world threatened to collapse.
Amelié was questioned again by the police, this time with much tougher questions and a sharper tone. She felt the heat of the spotlights directed at her when she had to hide the truth from the officials.
The investigation continued, and the tension at school became unbearable. Rumors and suspicions flew back and forth, while Amelié and Ashtray threatened to break under the pressure.
Finally, after endless hours of interrogation and surveillance, the police could not find any evidence that associated Amelié and Ashtray with Molly's death. The investigation was stopped, but the shadow of suspicion stuck over them, and they knew they would never be the same again.
For Amelié and Ashtray, it was a wake-up call that forced them to rethink their past and their decisions. They knew that they would live forever with the consequences of their actions, but they hoped that one day they would find peace with their past, even if the scars would remain forever.
Amelié's home seemed to have been normal again. Lexi continued to work hard on the last pages of her play, immersed in her creative world and the world of the characters she had created.
Cassie, on the other hand, seemed unusually busy, and Amelié couldn't help but notice her strange encounter with Nate, Maddy's ex-boyfriend. She wondered what was going on between the two, but she didn't dare to address Cassie for fear of tearing up old wounds again.
Nevertheless, Amelié couldn't help but worry about her sister. She knew that Cassie had struggled with heartache in the past, and she fervently hoped that she would not fall back into old patterns.
While Amelié thought about the secrets and tensions in her family, she felt increasingly isolated and left alone. She longed for someone she could confide in, someone who would understand her, but she didn't know where to look.
In the midst of the secret tensions and secrets that surrounded her home, Amelié tried to find a way to deal with her own fears and insecurities. She knew she had to be strong, but she also felt the burden of responsibility on her shoulders, and she wondered if she would ever find peace in a world imbued with lies and secrets.
In the following days, Amelié could not ignore the tensions in her home. Cassie and Nate seemed to meet more often, and Amelié could feel the suppressed tension between them whenever they met in the house.
Amelié tried to focus on her own affairs, but the concern for Cassie did not let her go. She could see how her sister was increasingly introverted and seemed to distance herself from her family.
One evening, when Amelié was sitting alone in her room and thinking about the events of the last few days, she decided to talk to Cassie about her concerns. She knocked on her door and entered to find her sister immersed in her thoughts.
„Cassie, can we talk?" Amelié asked quietly as she sat down next to her.
Cassie looked up, surprise in her eyes. „Sure, what's going on?" she replied, her voice a little stiff.
Amelié hesitated for a moment before continuing. „I've noticed that you've been acting weird lately, especially with regard to Nate. Is everything all right?"
Cassie lowered her gaze, her face eclipsed. „It's complicated," she finally murmured. „Nate and I... we met again, and... there are still feelings there, but... I don't know if it's right."
Amelié put a soothing hand on Cassie's shoulder. „It's okay to feel insecure," she said gently. „But you have to listen to your heart and do what makes you happy. I'm always here for you, no matter what happens."
Cassie smiled weakly, grateful for Amelié's support. „Thank you," she said quietly. „I really appreciate it."
The sisters spent the rest of the evening talking about their feelings and worries, and although the future remained uncertain, they felt strengthened by their connection and the certainty that they would always support each other no matter what would happen.
