The fuse was lit. The explosive in my hand was ready.
And that pretentious ass-hat was right where I wanted him.
I got up from my hands and knees and sat with my back against the building wall, and chucked the ball of glitter and shrapnel through the window. As soon as the deed was done, I sprinted to the other side of the shed.
Pentious was yelling and coughing so loudly that I could hear him through the walls. I could smell the gunpowder floating into the outside world. I grinned, more than proud of myself.
The old man burst out of the side doors, wheezing. I took a peek at the damage.
Oh, I wished I could keep the image forever. He was covered in hot pink; he attempted to wipe the mess off of his arms and torso, but his efforts were in vain.
The sound of footsteps leading away from my position gave me the clear, and I creeped out along the front. I glanced around the corner.
"Huh?" He was nowhere to be found.
I turned my body and-
A net was flying over me, and it grabbed ahold of me before I could make a run for it.
"Well, well, well," he sneered as he faced down to me. "If it isn't my arch-nemesis!" He made a flourish with his hands. I rolled my eyes, knowing the dumb speech by heart. "Have you come to meet your fate in the battle of wits, Cherri Bomb?"
I groaned and pulled out my pocket knife to slash through the rope.
Wait, it wasn't cutting!
"Um-"
"Ah, I see you've discovered my newest find - I do hope you have some spare time on your hands, because it will take you quite a while to cut through the wire rope!" He let out a laugh before bending his body to lower to me. "Not so cocky now, are we?"
I pouted, then clocked him straight in the jaw.
"GAH! I think I just swallowed glitter! Shit!"
The dumb bloke hadn't even really trapped me, as I was able to pull the net over my head and scramble out. I smirked, walking with smug confidence to pin him to the ground with my foot. "That tinker-toy bullshit is why you have no friends. And is why I continue to bully you."
My heel dug into his chest, and I drank in the confusion on his face. I pushed in a bit more, causing him to cough. There was a moment of silence between us.
I always had the upper hand. I always struck first, and I always left with what I came for: the sweet, addictive mental image of the stuffy cunt getting what he deserved.
"Were you at least impressed at all by the new rope? That cost me practically an arm and a leg, you know." His question pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Why the Hell would I be impressed by that? The fuck's gotten to ya head?"
The sound of footfalls directed my attention from behind.
My heart rate quickened.
I released Pentious and turned to search for the source of the sound. "Miss Bomb? Are you alright?"
"Shut the fuck up. Now." I made cautious steps towards the forest that surrounded us, pulling out an explosive and a match with the intent to hurt any intruder.
There! The tall, lanky silhouette among the trees told me everything I needed to know. I turned my head over my shoulder with an evil grin, and the old man swallowed hard.
