"Yeah, get some!  Come on, get some!"  Rocket yelled as Bucky picked him up and turned in a circle, the two shooting their machine guns.

I grinned, but it was wiped off my lips as a stray bullet cut my bare shoulder.  "Careful, idiots!"

Bucky set him down and continued shooting, but Rocket wasn't done.  "How much for the gun?"

"Not for sale."

"Alright, then how much for the arm?"

Bucky glanced at him weirdly before heading off.  Rocket muttered something under his breath, grinning like a maniac as he continued shooting.  The raccoon was strange, but I liked that he was troublesome.

I fought my way over with icicles over to Thor, but I realized he'd just tell me to go protect Vision.  He and Loki were always too protective of me.  I was staying on the field and finding Thanos, if it was the last thing I ever did.

A loud tremble shook the ground and the earth started to be ripped up under the force field.  Large, sharp blades came out of the ground, and I ran back, not fast enough.  It came inches from rolling me to shreds before red magic traced around it and brough it to a holt, then tossed the blades to the side.

I looked to find Wanda standing in the middle.  She'd saved us, but Vision was unprotected.  The Mind Stone was unprotected.

An explosion near the top of the dome caught my eye.  It was random, but it caught my focus.  I ran over to where it would have been on the ground.  Banner was lying in the Stark mech, and I figured he'd fought an alien and that he'd be fine.

An unsettling feeling came over me.  A haunting chill.  He was here.  Thanos was here.  I could sense it, sense the power from the stones.  All he needed was the Mind Stone now.  And I had a feeling in my gut that things were about to get ugly.

"Everyone, on my position,"  Rogers panted through the comms.

My breath caught in my throat as I made my way over.  It felt wrong.  It shouldn't be happening.  Something was wrong.

He was beating the crap out of the Avengers.  Banner's mech was formed into a wall of rocks.  People were tumbling and falling left and right.  Up ahead, I saw Vision and Wanda talking, red power surged from her hand and to the stone in his head.

I lunged at Thanos as Bucky hit the ground and rocks formed around Natasha as she, too, fell.  An icicle formed in my hand, and I raised it at his neck, but he used to Power Stone.  I choked and fell to the ground in pain that I'd never felt before.

It was agonizing, torturing.  Endless darkness.  Pens and needles.  Fire and ice.  Numbness.  I was alert but one minute from passing out.  I heard screams, but I couldn't recognize who or where they came from.

Finally, it was gone.  But I felt no relief.  It meant that Thanos was also gone.  He'd succeeded.  I stood and saw a dark body on the ground - Vision.  There was a hole where the stone used to be.  Wanda knelt over by him.

I gasped and collapsed again a tree.  "Thor!"

It was useless.  With every fiber in me I fought.  I could feel my insides begin to unravel, turn to... dust.  They were breaking.  They were... dust.  A few feet in front of me were Thor and Rogers.  Bucky came into the clearing, but he fell and turned to dust.

"Thor-"

He turned just as I fell and broke to pieces.

Everything around me was gone.
