I gasped as my eyes shot open and I bolted up.

Air filled my dry lungs, and I looked around.  Bucky was dragging himself up on his knees a few yards away from me, dust piecing together his arms and the rest of his body.  I looked at my own hand to find it was also covered in dust, my fingers not formed.

What happened?

Bucky spotted me and stood, walking over and helping me up in a daze.  We were too dazed and confused to say anything, just started walking around trying to find anyone.  Where Thanos had beaten the crap out of us, was Wanda, lying on the dirt, sobbing hiccups.

"Wanda?"  I asked, kneeling down next to her.

She looked at me, her expression with anger and grief.  "Where is he?"

I shook my head.  "I don't know.  Let's get back to the palace and find someone to explain."

So, we headed to the palace, finding a bunch of Wakanda soldiers along the way who were confused and coming back from dust.  King T'Challa was walking around, seeming just as confused as the rest of us.

We headed into the palace, the guards at the doors looking shocked at the sight of us.  Being dramatic, we burst into the throne room where T'Challa's mother and sister were, with the other rulers.  They looked at us and froze.

"Brother?"  Shuri gasped, breaking the silence.

"What happened to us?"

- * -

We'd been dusted for five years.  Thanos won.  We lost.  Half of the entire world had disappeared, but now we were suddenly coming back.  The Avengers, those that had survived, must have reversed what happened.

Not long after we got all caught up and found everyone on Wakanda who'd dusted, a wizard showed up through a magical portal looking like he'd just came from a battle and told us we needed to get back to the fight.

"Give us five minutes,"  Shuri said.

"You have two,"  the wizard, Dr. Strange, told her.

It took us more than five to get ready.

But once I had a Vibranium glowy short sword, I was ready for another fight.  Even if I felt like collapsing at any second.  The wizard opened a portal to what looked like what used to be the Avenger's compound.  Only now it was a whole mess of things.

Thanos' ship hovered over it, his army in order, ready to attack.  Captain America stood alone, bloodied and bruised, prepared to fight.  Hundreds of other portals opened up, few people flying out and circling the air.

"AVENGERS!"  Rogers yelled.

Seconds passed, then everyone started running.  I quickly followed and used my new Vibranium sword Shuri was never getting back.  There were so many, everything went by in a blur.  I figured the aliens covered in armor were the enemy and I shouldn't stab anyone who was without armor.

People over comms were discussing what to do with the stones.  There was talk of an ugly van, and a loud beep noise that followed after it.

Every now and then I would pass by Bucky, Wanda, the talking raccoon, and a bunch of other people I could only guess names for.  Just as I froze a couple of alien soldiers, I saw Wanda use her power to lift Thanos and pick off his armor piece by piece.  She looked more than rageful, I thought she was going to kill him slowly and painfully.
