Boscha's Rule {TOH}

Chapter 3

Matt's P.O.V

"Mattholomule, Skara, Edric and Barcus, please report to The office." Comes over the intercom. I sigh, getting up from my spot on the floor and heading over to Boschas office. I walk in to see Skara, Edric and Barcus standing infront of Boscha's desk.

"Great! You're all here. So, just go into Bonesburough and give us some updates on how it looks down there and stuff. Find resources that may be useful. And Matt, you can look for your boyfriend and his friends since they haven't shown up yet I don't care." She says, smug smile on her face. Why can't she just do this herself? I did not sign up for this. But I do admit, having an excuse to go out and look for Gus is kinda exciting. "You guys can grab some weapons and armour and stuff from over there." She says, pointing to a mountain of gear.

"Alright then.." I mutter, walking over to the pile. I grab a knee guard, fingerless gloves, a shoulder pad, a cape and a spear.

"Great! I'll see you guys later! Dont die!" She says cheerfully. I give her a dirty look before walking out of the room, the rest of my team following behind.

"Soo uh, do we have a plan or anything?" Edric asks.

"We should go to bonesburough without getting caught by one of those star things, and go to our houses to collect supplies." I suggest.

"That seems solid." Skara agrees with a shrug.

"Great! That's what were doing then, let's go." Edric says, starting to walk down the hallway. We all follow. "Is the coast clear?" He asks, Standing by the door.

"Yeah, no spies." Skara says giving him a thumbs up from the window. Edric slowly opens the door, leading us out one by one. I close the door after Skara leaves, and turn to face them again.

"I would advise to stay quiet and inconspicuous. We have seen what those spies can do to us if they see us." Skara said, looking around the school exterior. "And it's probably smart to stick together and stay out if open areas."

We nodded before starting our way to bonesburough. We passed the odd spy, but luckily they didn't see us a we were hiding in the woods. When we made it to bonesburough, it was almost deserted. Not very many signs of life at all. Empty streets, deserted shops and homes, dead vegetation. There was no sign of a Witch or demon in sight.

"Do you think the Emperors Coven has something to do with these star things?" Edric asks as he grabs a dead flower and crumpled the dry petals in his fingers.

"Maybe.. but the glitter and bright colors aren't really his style.." Skara sighed.

"Yeah Skara's right, the blues, purples and pinks aren't exactly Emperors Coven esque. And that giant crown looking building on the skull doesn't really scream Emperor either." I say, pointing pointing the titan skull in the distance. The skull isn't very visible from the school, so I'm not surprised that we hadn't seen it before now.

"Holy titan- what could have made that in such a short amount of time?" Skara exclaimed.

"I don't know.." Edric said as a wave of sparkles started to coke through the isles. We all quickly ran to a alleyway to avoid them, Edric almost getting caught in the glitter.

"Who and what.. is that?" Skara asked as she looked around the corner to see a child. But it wasn't like any child we had ever seen here before, they had half blue skin, half yellow skin, pure white hair, yellow scleras, and blood red irises. They reminded me of Kings eyes a bit. Oh shit, speaking of, he's with King too. What a coincidence!!

"It's definitely not from around here.. look at that star thing they are riding on." I reply, not taking my eyes off the child. "Not going to lie, they probably have something to do with this whole thing... but the question is, how did a literal child overthrow the Emperors Coven?"

"Hey King! So tell me more about your game 'The Owl House'. You promised to teach me if I stopped the draining spell!" The child said, large smile on their face.

"Oh uh, yeah! So the Owl house is where you go on cool adventures with your friends! It's really fun." King said, almost sounding nervous. Is he with the child against his will? Also, how could this child like, insanely powerful or something? They have gotta be, overthrowing the coven, and stopping this "draining spell" thing, and controlling those spies? Where is this kid from? Did they go to st Epiderm or something? I've heard that they are all like, scarily powerful.

"Ooh okay! Let's play!" The child says as they snap their fingers, making a bunch of puppeted versions on our towns residents appear.

"Oh my titan.." Skara mumbles, staring at the lifeless dolls that have now been placed in the street. I look out in horror as the dolls start running around helplessly, as if to be running away from something or someone. A large makeshift costume of the Owl beast starts running rampage.

"Stop, you beast!" The child commands as they snap their fingers, making a rope form around the Owl beast. Terra Snapdragon comes out of the costume, dressed as Eda the owl lady. I definitely was not expecting to see that today, but okay?

"Oh boohoo, you caught me. Has anyone seen my appleblood? Hoot hoot." She says uninthuiastically as she cracked her back.

"Cut!" The child demands, making a 't' with their hands. "Terra! Again, Eda doesn't sound like that! She's got more of a.. a cool aunt vibe! Who pretends to be all cold hearted, but actually cares a lot!"

"Hey uh Collecter, don't we think that we should be uh, giving the ol' puppets some rest you know? They must be tired from all their cool adventures and stuff." King said hesitantly. So I guess their name is 'Collector'? What kind if a name is that.

One King, Collector, Terra and the puppets finally cleared out of Bonesburough, we restarted our search for supplies. Skara recommended we check our houses and our classmates houses. There wasn't very much at my house, so now I've found myself at Gus's door. Titan, I really hope he's in there. It's probably too risky to knock, it could attract spies. I carefully open the door, before walking into the dimly lit living room. I sigh as I close the door, there is no sign of life here. I highly doubt that Gus is here. Oh my Titan... what if he got turned into one of those puppet things? I don't want to even think about that.. he's probably hiding out in forearm forest? Or on the knee? Yeah, that's probably where he is.

I start scavenging the house for helpful resources, Food, potions, weapons, anything we could use. I gather a large bag of food from the pantry and some medical supplies from the bathroom. After Scavenging the entire house, I eventually make it to Gus's room. I've been in here before, but it feels weird without him being with me. I take a deep breath before opening the door, revealing the same room I've been in multiple times. Slightly messy, but what you'd expect. Except there was one thing that I hadn't seen before.. Wait a second..

I walk up to Gus's desk. And lined up on the desk were.. my fake artifacts?! He kept those? That's where they went? How come I have never seen them before? Huh..

I laugh at the discovery before searching the rest of the room. I take some of his clothes, potions, and some spell books. I felt kind of bad about stealing from my boyfriend of all people.. but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess..
