"Young Master, are you sure you don't need any help?"
Laurent didn't spare the servants any glance as he continued to dig through the garden. He honestly doesn't know what he's doing, and he's never gardened in his entire life so he's sure he's irritating the actual gardeners, but he merely shakes his head as a reply and keeps at it.
He's going to complete this flowerbed no matter what. He's just... unsure how to go about it, but it's alright since he's still a beginner!
If only his attendants weren't so annoying. They keep telling him to be careful and not to cut his hands since the majority of the flower stems had sharp thorns.
"Young Master?" Trenton tries again, "Why not allow me to help you? You've been at this for a while, so you must be tired."
"I'm fine."
This is the one thing that keeps his boredom at bay. Laurent isn't going to let the others distract him.
But he does end up letting them help. Only for a second. It felt irritating having people come help him with this.
"Young Master, what shall we do with these flowers here?"
"Oh, just put them to the side for now. I haven't made the space for them yet."
"Young Master, we'll have to move to this side instead. There are many weeds in this area. Perhaps it's best to let the gardeners take them out first."
"No, I can do it-"
"The colors of these flowers are clashing with one another. Would you like us to get other flowers instead?"
"Hold on, I haven't-"
"Young Master, what shall we do with this?"
The questions were endless. Laurent probably ended up talking more than he worked, and even though he managed to get a bit of free time to try and finish what he was doing, that all ended when Seamus came down to the gardens.
His older brother looked down at him, tilted his head just enough to where it blocked the harsh rays of the sun on Laurent's face.
Seamus smiled kindly. "I heard you were trying to plant flowers. Figured my eyes deceived me for a second."
"It's a new hobby," Laurent dryly states.
"So it seems. I suggest you find another though. There are many plants with thorns on their stems, so it's easy for you to get pricked."
"I'm fine."
"Are you certain?"
Perhaps Laurent dismissed it too lightly when he read Seamus' character as an overprotective brother. He knows he means well, but the way he does it is smothering him.
He guesses it's to be expected though. It might seem strange to Seamus that his little brother, who would never stoop so low to play with dirt, is acting like this.
Which is also strange as to why the system isn't calling him out on this.
This isn't something the OG Laurent would do.
Why isn't it flagging him for being OOC?
Seamus crouches down next to Laurent and starts rolling up his sleeves. "Can I help?"
Their attendants looked at each other, unsure to step in. Even Laurent was at a bit of a loss.
"Aren't you busy?"
"I've got some time to kill."
"I feel like you're lying."
"Even if I am, it won't change the fact that I'll always make some time for you. You know I'm still worried, right?" Seamus says.
