Danielle's POV:

We began walking, making our way to my house when suddenly, Haerin halted near an alleyway.

"why'd you stop?"

"Mind if we make a quick stop somewhere before heading to your place? I know this cool spot where we can hang out," Haerin suggested, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"Sure... why not?" I replied, a touch of hesitance in my voice.

She took ahold of my wrist and led me through a sketchy alleyway, and I followed eagerly, trusting her to lead us to the mysterious spot she had in mind.

After a while of walking, we arrived at the destination - it was an abandoned building. The walls were full of vandalism

"i-.. Uh.. Haerin?"

"Hm?"

"Are you sure it's safe to be here..?"

"Of course it is," Haerin replied with confidence. "I come here all the time."

"Oh... okay," I replied, feeling a hint of concern as I glanced around, fearing that we might get caught and into trouble.

Haerin must've noticed my worried expression and reassuringly said, "Hey, don't worry. I come here often, and I've never been caught. It's safe, I promise."

I let out a sigh, trying to soothe my anxious thoughts.

"but-"

"Ah, no more buts! It's time to let loose and have some fun. Take risks, break some rules, and live life to the fullest!"

My heart started to race as Haerin spoke, and I felt my face getting warm. Was this the feeling of falling inlove? No, it couldn't be. I mean, we just met today. These butterflies in my stomach must be just platonic affection, Right?..

Haerin held my wrist and leaded me upstairs. The higher we climbed, the more anxious I became. By the time we reach the top, I was feeling utterly terrified. I've always hated heights. Haerin must've sensed my fear because she reassured me, saying, "Don't worry, I've got you. If anything happens, I'll keep you safe."

Her words eased my nerves a little, and I nodded gratefully, whispering, "Thanks."

After reaching the top of the building, the breathtaking view that spread before us was truly majestic.

"The view up here is incredible,"

I remarked, my voice filled with delight. Haerin nodded her agreement, appreciating the beauty around us.

As we approached the edge of the building, I stumbled slightly, but Haerin caught me just in time. "See?" she said, a gleam in her eyes. "I told you I'd keep you safe." Her cat-like gaze met mine, making my heart flutter.

Haerin cleared her throat, breaking the moment and gently let go of me, allowing me to stand on my own.

"How about we find a spot to sit and enjoy this view together?" Haerin suggested, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.

"sure.."

Haerin lead us to the edge of the building, where we sat with our legs dangling over the side. Sensing my fear of heights, she gently reminded me, "Don't look down, okay?" Her thoughtfulness bringing a warm feeling to my chest.
