Bonnie clutched her Polaroid camera tightly in her trembling hands, her breath catching as she gazed at the towering, space-faring apartments piercing the smog-choked sky. This was the future her new friend, the mysterious chrononaut, had come from—a dystopian world ravaged by humanity's relentless greed.

On the morning of her 20th birthday, Bonnie Nixon woke up with a twinkle in her eye and a spring in her step. Growing up with little, she had been looking forward to this day for ages, planning to celebrate with an all-out shopping spree. Wearing a designer crimson dress as red as her hair, she grabbed her purse and headed straight to the nearest mall, her heart brimming with excitement.

As she neared the mall, a peculiar figure stood out amidst the bustling crowd. A man clad in a sleek, silver-gray jumpsuit. The hood cast his face in shadow, with only his deep blue eyes visible. A transparent respirator mask covered his face, his heavy breath audible through it. The man exuded an air of mystery that tugged at her curiosity. Unable to resist, she approached him.

"Excuse me, but your outfit is... unique," Bonnie said, her eyes wide with intrigue.

The man turned to her, his gaze piercing. "I am a chrononaut from the year 2130," he replied.

A wave of skepticism washed over her, but his genuine eyes outweighed her doubt. "Prove it," she challenged, her voice shaking with nervous excitement.

In the blink of an eye, she found herself clutching her Polaroid camera tightly, struggling to breathe through a respirator mask as she stared at the futuristic skyline. The chrononaut, Xav, gestured toward the horizon. "This is the world I come from," he said, his voice tinged with a hint of longing. "A world where the sky is no longer the limit, where humanity reached for the stars but lost sight of what truly matters."

Still trembling, Bonnie raised her camera, capturing the scene. She knew she needed evidence to convince her friends and family of Xav's truth. "What caused all this?" she asked.

Xav's gaze turned somber. "Pollution," he whispered, his voice heavy with regret. "Our greed destroyed the planet. The once-pristine landscapes were choked with smog, toxins in the oceans—everything became unlivable."

During their travel back, the echoes of Xav's haunting words lingered in her mind. His sorrowful gaze and solemn voice fueled a newfound resolve within her—a determination to fight for change, to undo the damage that had been done, and to forge a new path toward a brighter future. To achieve this, Bonnie knew she had to start by sharing Xav's story with those closest to her.
