2017, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During May, the sun on the equator is so powerful that it can suck every drop of moisture from people's bodies.

Ren was stared at by the sun. His blue shirt was drenched in sweat. It clung tightly to his body.

But he didn't care. Today, he felt it was a turning point in his life.

He had just obtained his visa from the Chinese Consulate, drove his car to the parking lot at Petaling Street, and walked to the chicken rice restaurant he often patronized.

"One plate of chopped chicken, rice, and a plate of bean sprouts please."

This is what he usually orders.

While waiting for the food to be served, Ren eagerly took out an envelope from his briefcase, which he had just received from the travel agency, containing a round-trip ticket to Shanghai and Tokyo.

But that's not the point. He looked at the words "KLIA" and "Shanghai Hongqiao Airport" on the ticket, and then "Tokyo Haneda Airport", and his heart was pounding.

Eight years have passed since Mika moved to Japan. Mika's voice only came through from the phone; Mika's appearance was only seen through the screen; even her height was estimated based on imagination.

Starting from today, after one week, the plane will land at Haneda Airport at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. The next day, he will take the morning Shinkansen to the northeast. When he walks out of the train station, Mika will be standing in front of him, alive.

As he ate, his thoughts drifted away.

To be honest, my boss was a little unhappy when I asked for leave on my first business trip. But I must go on this trip to Japan.

He asked for a week's leave from the company and decided to go see Mika after the business trip. It's not that he can't choose to go at other times, but for so many years, he has only talked to Mika through the screen. It's time to meet and settle things.

After meetings with factories in China, he will be bringing information about new semiconductor chips to Japan to meet with Mika.

"Could Mika understand the design of semiconductor circuits?" Ren thought to himself.

"Of course not." He thought aloud.

"Since that incident, she has not continued her studies at all..."

"Could I convince her to quit her current job and start a different life?"

"Maybe I can persuade her to come back to Malaysia."

"This way she can leave that sad place and start over again."

Ren was lost in his thoughts as he swallowed a chicken, a large portion of bean sprouts and a large bowl of rice. He didn't really care about the taste of his lunch. His thoughts were all on the airplane ticket and Mika.

"Wait, I almost forgot!" Ren took out his phone while chewing, took a photo of the ticket and sent forward.

When Mika's phone rang, she was slurping down a bowl of udon noodles. The convenience store had been very busy during lunch time, but now she could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

She ate lunch standing up and swallowed the food in one go. After several years of this busy life, Mika has trained her stomach to be as strong as stone, even if she doesn't eat for a whole day, she could also do her work vigorously.
