"(Y/N) we're home!" The familiar feminine voice of her mother echoed throughout the house as (Y/N) turned off the stove. Dinner was finished just in the nick of time today it seemed.
"Welcome home mom, dad!" Brushing her hands together to get off the excess who-knows-what from the food before going to her mom and hugging her and then hugging her dad, "Casi has been home for about an hour now. I'm glad you got home when you did because if not, I think he would have snuck into the kitchen himself and stolen half of dinner before you guys even got here."
(Y/N)'s parents found what she said to be a bit funny and her mom laughed while her dad called out, "Casimir don't terrorize your sister, especially when she is making more money than you while also helping out around the house you slacker," (Y/N) and her mom laughed while a groan echoed faintly through the house showing how Casimir had heard his dad's jab.
"I'm so sorry for having the highest grades that this family has ever seen," Casimir calls back to defend his bruised ego, "Plus, (Y/N) would absolutely murder me if I tried to help her in the kitchen. I mean she already takes over whenever I do try to make something to eat. She says something like 'your stirring wrong' or 'Casi you missed the butter' when it was literally the next step in the recipe I was doing!" (Y/N)'s laughed turned into a near cackle as her brother continued to take jabs at her, rightfully so. Everything he said was the truth and had in fact happened before.
"Love you Casi!" (Y/N) called out to her brother unable to defend herself against his attack of truth. While she didn't get an obvious response, she heard grumblings from his room down the hall that sounded similar to an 'I love you too' and so (Y/N) smiled and found herself going to the kitchen where her parents had already begun making their plates.
"Casimir, come get food before your father puts it all on his plate!" Their mother stuck her head out into the hallway and called to her son which was quickly followed by the sound of rapid footsteps on the floor as Casimir rushed into the kitchen just in time to see his dad put a large spoonful of something on his plate.
"Dad!" Casimir said reeling before grabbing a plate and quickly fighting for some of what his dad had decided to faithfully pursue next.
(Y/N)'s mom placed her hand on (Y/N)'s head and patted gently before they two looked at each other and nodded their heads forming a silent alliance and joining the fray.
The rest of dinner went by without a too much riot and everyone had retired to their own past times to spend the rest of the night. (Y/N) was making good progress on the plushy with little problem, at this speed she seemed confident in her ability to finish the cat plushy that had been requested by a little after midnight.
The night ticked on and the lights in the rooms around her slowly began to turn out and by 11:45 pm she was the last person awake in their home. The quiet was always a bit eerie so (Y/N) stood and stretched after placing the nearly completed cat on her now rather messy desk. She walked over to her window and pulled the lacy curtains she loved so dearly to the side so that she could open her window and let some of the sounds of night fill her room.
Sitting back at her desk, (Y/N) paused before soon returning to the clicking of her needles she used to make the plushy. The sound was calming when mixed with the excited chirping of the crickets and songs of the toads in the muddy ditch in front of her and her neighbors' houses.

Incoming Casimir! I love his first and middle name so much; specifically, the way I put them together. I am excited to write about his middle name with his first, I think it's so cute.
Have I planned out this whole story? No, but do I have enough to get started? Absolutely. Music really is a God-send.
