Newt POV
As I felt the virus taking me over while Giselle was hurriedly trying to do something, I thought back to three memories.

"Newt! The Box is here! You should see this though!" I ran out and up to the Box. A girl was backed into the corner, breathing rapidly. We never get girls, only boys. "Stay back!" She yelled. I slowly climbed down and said, "It's okay, you're safe now." I held out my hand. She took it, let me help her out, and she sat on the ground. "I only remember my name, nothing else. Why?" I glanced over at Alby. She already knows her name? "Well, what is it, love?" She tilted her head but said, "G-Giselle." She then hugged me super tight. I rubbed a hand up and down her back. "Can I call you Ella?" I asked and she nodded.

It was two years later, me, Giselle, and Minho were super close. Thomas had come up about a day ago, but he hadn't gotten the chance to actually talk to Giselle after their awkward meeting. I walked over to where she was training. She had set up dummies and she kicked them, stabbed them with her spear, then shot them in the head with a bow. "That's Giselle?" Thomas asked and I smiled proudly. "Yep. That is Giselle, I call her Ella. One thing about her, she's very sweet when you get to know her, but she's super edgy. You'll have to earn her respect before she start calling her by a nickname. Got it, mate?" He nodded and I turned back to where she was paying us no attention, turned away. "Ella!" I yelled and she whipped around to see us. But to me, she turned in slow motion. She walked over and I watched her the whole time. "You must be the Greenie. I'm Giselle, we haven't really met," she said and stuck out her hand.

The Maze doors were starting to close and Giselle, Thomas, and Minho weren't back yet. "Come on," I kept muttering and then there they were. She shoved Minho and Thomas, throwing them through the doors. She was still a few feet away and she was slowing. But she pushed harder and made it through just in time. She ran to me and collapsed into a hug. "Oh. Oh my god, the Grievers, and the moving walls and..." she took deep breaths as we sat on the ground. "Newt, we did it. We found a way out."

Now, she was on the ground, holding me in place. "Newt, listen to me! It's Ella!" I threw her onto the ground across from me and tried to bite her. She held me back and screamed, "Newt, please!" I came back into reality and said, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Ella." She nodded, "It's okay." Thomas tackled me and she yelled to stop. He held me down as he reached for his rope. I pushed him off and charged at Giselle. I threw her into the wall, knocking her unconscious, and turned back to Thomas.
