Chapter 4 - Party I

"GIRLS WHAT TOOK YOUS SO BLOODY LONG??!!" was what the trio was immediately faced with when they descended the stairs and found an extremely high  Zoya, with a blunt in one hand and a empty drink cup in the other. "This one takes longer than the bloody grass to grow to get ready" Rosmerta explained and she narrowed her eyes playfully at Meissa "Well Mighty Merlin, I'm not surprised you look HOT M, that dress is stunning, Merlin have mercy on the boys tonight"
"All due to D's brilliant skills, would look like a rag without her" Meissa sweetly commented trying to make up for her lateness.
"Awww thanks M, look theirs Lily, Marlene and Mary coming in through the doors now"
"We should go greet them before anyone else does, oh and Z do you have any more of what you're on? Asking for a friend of course" Zoya chuckled and handed Meissa her freshly rolled blunt as they made their way over to the nervous Gryffindors, but beforehand Rosmerta headed away to set up her band equipment for later on, and Meissa took a long hit inhaling the dopamines which already began to take effect on her body.

"Hey girls, yous all look lovely" Zabini promptly commented to break the ice and in honest fact they did, as Marlene was wearing a leopard V line crop top with a short denim skirt, accompanied with a pair of adidas originals to match the  patterned top, Dorcas definitely noticed this complementary match or at least that's what Meissa thought she was staring at, Lily was wearing a simple yet classy black mini dress with lacy detail at the bottom and along the chest, and finally Mary was wearing black bell bottomed jeans with a red corset on top. Meissa was amazed at how well they fitted in and was sure it was going to be a good night and Mary was first to speak up:
"So do yous, love the dress Meissa absolutely gorgeous" "Thanks McDonald, Dorcas made it for me" Meissa took her time to warm up to new people and this was a perfect example, she didn't speak to Rita comfortably for two years into meeting her.  "Really?!" Marlene remarked quite loudly earning a knowing smirk from Lily. "Yeah it only took me a day or two" Dorcas replied nonchalantly. "Would you make one for me ??" The cool and collected Dorcas was suddenly transformed into a very bashful one as she blushed and was very thankful for the dark lighting "Yeah I would surely, want to get a drink?" and the pair walked off  into the crowd of drunk teenagers and blaring music.

Meissa took another hit "Smoke anyone?" as she led the girls over to the couches with Zoya who had miraculously managed to get another joint as well. "Yeah pass it over" Mary reached out her hand and sat down comfortably on the couch along with Lily and Zoya " Merlin this stuff is good" as she took multiple more hits before handing it over to the ambivalent Lily who reluctantly took a small hit before trying to hand it quickly back to Meissa who was in a small daze as she noticed someone across the room who she desperately required a conversation with, "Chat to you guys later need to go talk to someone, but have fun and there's lots of food over there" Meissa hurried past and pushed people out of her road as many eyes followed her over to far side of the common room.
"Hi"
"Hey"
"Look I've being meaning to talk to you since the train, I'm sorry I stormed off like that I was just annoyed with Walburga and got weird Deja vu, but I promise I wasn't angry with you, I never would be Reg" Meissa looked at the younger boy in hopes she didn't ruin anything between them, as she would always protect him no matter what even with the consequences it had held over the summer. She would die for her younger brother and would stop at nothing to protect him from his imminent "duties" as the heir of the Noble House of Black which were soon approaching as after all he was 16.
" No M, I'm sorry, for everything, not just today at the platform but for those past three months,I really wish I could stop her it's just she has this hold over me like dad has over you—"
Meissa abruptly cut him off has their Dad was a sore point for Meissa, "Can we just promise to never let them come between us again?" Meissa held out her hand and as Regulus was about to hold out his she engulfed him in a huge bear hug earning many quizzical looks from onlookers around them but Meissa didn't care as long as she had her brother.
