Chapter 1: Zayn Vs Kai

It's been a fair few weeks since the betrayal of Dakota Kai to her two best friends Tegan Nox and Megan Zayn, currently she's in the women's locker room prepping for their singles match.

It wasn't the first time they went head to head in this rivalry, her husband Johnny Gargano won't be at ringside since he also had a match against Undisputed Era's Bobby Fish.

The door to the women's locker room opened and in walked Rhea Ripley, the current NXT women's champion and Megan's best friend who's been helping her with this rivalry against Kai and her new bestie Raquel Gonzalez.

It wasn't as if Megan was jealous, not one bit but Kai keeps telling her that she was, so that maybe a bit true Megan missed teaming up with Kai and causing some mischief with the women's division.

"You OK Megs?" Rhea asks as she sits down next to her and placing the championship on her legs "yeah, I'm just thinking about tonight's match."

"The one with Dakota?" She asks as Megan nods "it's been going on for weeks and I'm getting tired of it, this feels like Sami and KO." She sighs as she leans back, Rhea does what she can do keep her calm.

"Everything will hopefully turn out alright" Rhea says as Megan smiles a little as Shayna walks in with Marina and Jessamyn "how's she doing?" Shayna asks as Megan was on her phone.

"Nervous, but I like everyone else can tell she misses Kai" she says as Shayna nods "despite me being so happy at WarGames about the attack, even I was shocked that Kai would do that."

"Especially with how close the three are" Marina says as they glance over at Megan who was smiling, it was probably a text from Johnny or Sami.

Just then a producer came for Megan and she left with Rhea since neither one trusted Kota and Raquel.

The crowd was firmly on the side of Megan Zayn, why wouldn't they not be? I mean after all she is the face and in the middle of this chaotic rivalry.

Rhea was yelling on the outside for Megan to get back in the match as DIY was watching it backstage along with the Undisputed Era "have you spoken to Megan recently?" Bobby asks.

"Yeah, she's alright but she did admit to me she misses Kai" Johnny says sighing softly as the group watch Kai and Megan dodge each other's moves.

"This is what you get when two people close as Dakota and Megan train together and get to know each other extremely well " Beth says as both Vic and Mauro agrees with.

"Well you know something about tag teams, Beth" Vic says hinting at the Divas of Doom with Natalya making Beth chuckle a bit, Megan barely dodged an attack from Kai.

Though it wasn't long before Megan was near the turnbuckle and Kai hit Kaio Kick (big boot) to her knocking her down and getting the victory.

The crowd booed as Alicia says "the winner of the match Dakota Kai" Rhea got Megan out of the ring as Kai celebrated her victory, Johnny came down to help her.

"The winner of the match Bobby Fish" Megan just sat there with an ice pack on her left leg, hoping that Johnny will be alright, Ciampa was with him.

"He'll be alright" Shayna says noticing her off-screen friends look "I know he will, I just worry that's all" she says as Shayna nods while watching Johnny get help.

Damn, I miss writing for Johnny & Megan if I'm being completely honest so I'm happy to bring them back.

Also, this takes place three weeks before TakeOver: Portland 2020 when Johnny turned on Ciampa during his match with Cole and that match Kai had with Tegan.

Isn't Shayna on main roster at this point? If so, then she's just visiting Megan due to them being close with each other.
