"It's lights out in Malaysia and here we go!"
I was not having the best weekend at all so far in Malaysia. I was P10 to start the race, which no one around me seemed to be at all pleased with. Overall everyone was betting for me to have an awful weekend, which I agreed with. But I quickly gained on other cars in the first two tight turns, moving my way up to P6 in the process. the voice in my ear telling me who I next needed to overtake.
Finally nearing the last laps of the race I got a glimpse of the P3 car in front of me, to my intrigue was Daniel himself. I asked my engineer about my pace and continued to persist forward, desperate to get another podium and prove myself on my ability to bounce back. But Christian came on the radio and shut me down, saying "Alessia do not attempt Daniel, create a gap within you two."
"Oh my fucking god!" I yelled in frustration with no sign of his call changing. I never liked being told to stop pushing, it just wasn't in me. But for my own sake I backed off leaving Daniel to take the P3 as we both crossed the finish line. "Great race Alessia, sorry we couldn't go full out." My engineer told me through my radio.
After finishing up all of my media and returning to my room on the track to get my stuff and just go home. I got a knock on my door from the one and only. "Everyone's going our tonight, do you want to come?" Daniel asked me, peeping his head through a small gap in the door.
"Sure." I dryly responded back, not paying him much attention. Though I knew he wasn't to blame for me not getting on a podium, he still managed to remain in front of me in the race. "Alright I'll meet you in the lobby at 6." He told me walking away from the door.
"Don't forget Anna!" I yelled down the hallway.

Daniel POV
I grimaced when I looked down at my watch while walking down to our hotel lobby. It was just a little bit after six, but I knew Alessia usually was very punctual. But I was sure all would be forgiven of course, we're practically the best teammates on the paddock in my humble opinion. "You're late." She tells me as our eyes make contact.
She looks absolutely stunning in her dress, Christian was a bloody fool for cheating on her. But I held my tongue of her beauty, instead telling her "I ordered a car for us." Her and her friend, Anna look content with my planning and the three of us wait for the car together. Anna sits in the front with the driver while Alessia and I slide into the backseat. "How was your day been?" I asked politely, trying to get some small talk.
"You get held off from racing your own teammate and tell me how that'd work out for you in a day." She sarcastically said back, smiling. I smiled back cheekily.
When we arrived the three of us all made our way quickly inside the club to avoid the paparazzi lurking outside who had definitely been tipped off about driver being in here. Anna, much to Alessia's dismay, quickly separated from us and left to go find other members of the paddock. Leaving the two of us alone. "So what are you planning on doing before China?" I asked her.
"Why do you want to meet up if I happened to be in Monaco?" She grinned as the two of us order drinks at the bar. The poor bartender was completely starstruck by her, which honestly was fair because it's not everyday you see the most stunning girl on the track.
Somehow, Alessia always seemed to be in the corner of my mind ever since I had met her at the start of the 2011 season. Even though we were rookies the same year at Torro Rosso, she always had this aura around her like she just knew. Which is pretty amazing to be honest because I definitely did not have that. Which was probably why I hated Christian so much. He just seemed like a total slimy guy whenever I happened to be around him during one of Alessia's practices or some other occasion. Luckily, the other, more important Christian happened to agree with my negative feelings on the former.
"Earth to Daniel. Are you there?" Alessia said, snapping me out of my thoughts as the bartender handed her two drinks.
"Thank you" I told her, walking away as to not annoy her any longer.
Alessia POV
I almost wished he hadn't had walked away. But yet I was still sitting at the bar, talking to a bartender who definitely knew who I am. But of course I put my media skills on full display, acting like I was in fact interested in talking to him when I definitely was not. Luckily I was soon saved by Checo who had taken a seat down next to me and allowed me to pull away from the bartender. And I made my way over to other drivers in the corner of the room, all being old men and not going out and actually enjoying their wins (or losses.) Most of the people my age were somehow not here, which was annoying. So I had to go search for Anna, much to my annoyance.
While I continued searching for my friend, I was definitely wishing that I could've just taken a commercial flight back to Monaco, but it was already going to take me a full day of travel, why bother any more? But my thoughts were interrupted when I bumped into someone's back. And to just my amazing luck, it was Lewis. "Hey Alessia, I didn't know you'd be here tonight." He exclaimed.
I hadn't even begun to thought he would've been here as he definitely didn't have the best day on the track today. But I knew I should be polite at least, it was what Anna would've wanted. So I responded: "Oh I didn't know you'd here tonight Lewis!"
"Yeah Nico told me earlier that most of you'd be stopping here tonight after the race." I nodded along to his words, hoping that this conversation would soon be over. "Of course, I could never pass up a night out." I continued. But yet, out of the corner of my eye I saw Anna, and when I was about to wave her over, she quickly shook her head and turned around. Giving me and very odd signal that I somehow got to continue talking to him. I didn't know why'd she do this to me, but I trusted her and carried on with the conversation.
Anna POV
Alessia was always the type of girl who just need a push.
I had known her just as long as Lewis Hamilton, when Alessia moved to the UK around 1996. We always knew each other like the backs of our hands. I knew she had liked Lewis, it was as clear as day, the girl was absolutely smitten. And of course Lewis adored her too. They were just quite frankly the dream team between the two of them. So I had to play matchmaker for the two of them that day at the beach, and in which after Alessia called me squealing on the phone that Lewis had finally asked her out. The pair actually dating for a long time in fact until around when Lewis made his way up through GP2 I believe. Then the two decided it was better to not struggle in a romantic relationship. Which was very smart of Alessia because she had her own racing career to worry about. But the duo definitely still loved and cared for each other, until the huge blowout between them.
Lewis was incredibly stupid, I'll be the first to admit that. But the way that he still loves her is evident in his eyes and I'd be stupid to not let that slide by.
But there was also a way that Alessia looked at another around her own garage...
Daniel POV
I kept giving furtive glances back over to Alessia, who I now recognized to be talking to Lewis. Jesus, she looked visibly uncomfortable while they were talking. I shouldn't care about her as much as I did at the moment, she was my teammate and greatest rival. Yet, I still felt like I should help her.
So I dug my heels into the ground and decided to walk over to the awkwardly talking pair.
