CHAPTER TWO : UNVEILING ASPERATIONS

The closer one ventures towards the blinding brilliance, the deeper they descend into the abyss. Thus, amidst the dazzling brilliance, the shadows loom ever darker, concealing secrets and whispers that threaten to engulf the unwary in their sinister embrace.

Kendrick's voice resonated through the auditorium, commanding attention with its profound depth.

"First and foremost, I extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has chosen the path of an enforcer. Your decision to stand against the forces of darkness and uphold the light of Serenity does not go unnoticed. For those who may not fully understand, being an enforcer entails much more than battling demons. It is a sacred duty to safeguard our homes, our communities, and the very essence of peace that defines Fulmyth.

Allow me to shed light on the events and aspirations that await us within the hallowed halls of the Academy."

Katherine, on edge about the anomaly that is Kendrick's aura, tapped Arman on the shoulder, her brow furrowed in concern.

"Arman, somethings not right with this guy?"

Arman lowered his voice and manipulated the air around himself and Katherine, ensuring that only the two of them could hear each other.

"Katherine what do you see?"

Katherine activated her power and gazed at Kendrick; her senses attuned to his energy. With a confused tone, she responded.

"Arman," Katherine's voice quivered with fear, her eyes wide with terror. "His aura... it's colorless. It's like... like transparent waves, but they're... they're suffocating, engulfing him. I've never seen anything like it..."

Her mind whirled with a flurry of thoughts, each one a dart of worry piercing her consciousness. She vividly remembered the cryptic warnings her older sister, had imparted upon her. The words echoed in Katherine's mind like a haunting refrain, warning of the nature of colorless auras and the danger of those who wield artifacts. Katherine felt a shiver crawl down her spine as she grappled with the implications of what she had just witnessed.

Arman tore down the barrier between them, allowing the ambient sounds of the auditorium to flood back in. Together, they continued to listen to Kendrick's speech, though a sense of unease still remains.

Kendrick continues his speech, with a composed tone.

"This year, three tournaments shall take place, each serving significant importance."

Kendrick announced, his voice carrying the weight of authority.

"The first tournament will separate those with talent from those who lack it. The second is to determine the strongest among the talented. The third will give the remaining ten a chance to become the new regional top ten."

His gaze swept across the room, his expression grave yet determined.

"As for the Academy's goals, we aim for each first-year team to achieve one hundred completed assigned missions. This is not merely a task; it's a declaration of our unwavering resolve. It's a testament to our determination to rise above adversity and demonstrate to the world the indomitable spirit of Fulmyth. Kendrick continued, his tone shifting slightly to one of camaraderie.

"As vice president, we have Lance Vortex; as secretary, Danica Solace; as treasurer and accountant, Rebecca Stone; as committee chairwoman, Imaan Abdula; and the one ensuring the integrity of our community, Benjamin Carter, head of student disciplinary. This is your student council."
