Chapter 4 "the hut"

As i walked up to the small group, alby looked shocked.

"You won?" He asked, surprised.

"Why wouldn't i have?" I asked, with a cocky tone.

"Because its not like he's the strongest guy in the glade" Minho said sarcastically.

"You should have seen it, it was like magic, wind hitting Gally at Y/N's will, pushing him out of the circle effortlessly" newt said trailing behind me.

His voice already gave me butterflies. I was tired, so i asked alby where i'd be sleeping.

"Well, it's complicated. We'll get you your own hut since you're a girl, but the builders wont start building it until tomorrow, and it'll take a couple of days and maybe even a week to finish, because you also need your own bathroom." Alby said.

After a pause, he continued. " You'll be staying with newt in his hut until yours is finished."

"Seriously?" I asked, genuinely confused because theres only one bed in his hut.

"Yes, seriously." Alby replied in an almost stern voice.

"Okay, well im heading to bed," i said quickly.

"Me too" newt said right after me.

He caught up to me, placing his hand on my lower back, walking next to me to "our" hut.

"Do you have any shorts i could borrow?" I asked, because i didn't really feel like sleeping in jean shorts.

"All I've got are my boxers, if those work" he said, god his accent could literally kill me.

"Yeah, those will work better than jean shorts," i said, approaching the door and opening it.

He handed me his clean pair of boxers, and turned around for me to slip them on. Once they were on, i crawled under the covers in his bed, and i asked him if he was going to join me.

"Are you sure? Cause i can sleep on the floor" he said, curiously.

"Yes im sure, get in here you shank" i said, chuckling slightly under my breath because shank was one of the many vocabulary words the gladers made up while in here.

He crawled into the bed, with his chest against my back, spooning me with his arms around my waist. Butterflies filled my stomach and i blushed a little. Thank goodness he couldn't see my face because it made me almost as red as a tomato. My eyes slowly drifted closed, and i quickly drifted off to sleep.

When i woke up, newt had one arm around me, the other with his hand in my hair, lightly playing with it. I could sense his smirk, and my head was against his chest with one of my hands next to it. My other arm was resting underneath his torso, and that game me butterflies. I groaned and nudged my head against his chest to signify that i was awake. Newt, noticing that i was awake, took in a large breath of air before speaking.

"Its still early, you can go back to sleep if you need"

"Im wide awake now" i replied, still nearly three quarters of the way to being up and out of the bed.

"Okay, breakfast is in an hour" he said, standing up aswell.

He was already changed, and he headed out the door.
