Chapter 2
The next morning, Kara woke up quite early. Actually, she hadn’t slept well last night. She was afraid of dreaming, she was afraid of seeing that woman again. Even though her face is the same with hers, it’s frightening to see it as another person who is acting creepy.
“Ar…. Headache,” she groaned, as she made her way downstairs. She took a jar of water out of the fridge and poured into a glass. She couldn’t help herself from thinking about the dream she had yesterday.
“We are quite similar…… What does that mean?” she thought. She sat down, drinking water and recalling the memory.
“It’s the first time I have a dream like this and the first time that I have seen the same person twice,” she said confusingly and knocking the table.
“But why? Does it have to mean something or was it just a dream? Or am I just thinking too much?”
A series of questions appeared from her mind. She was trying to find an answer but it just made her headache worse.
“Oh….. damn it! I need some aspirin.”
She went into the bathroom to get some pills. As she stretched her hand to open the cupboard, she saw her face in the mirror.
“Come on………” she moaned. She turned her head and opened the cupboard quickly. While she was searching for the pill, a certain thought came across her mind.
“Thomas…Does my dream have something to do with Thomas?”
It’s not unusual for Kara to think that way. It’s true that Thomas appeared on the same day when Kara started dreaming the strange woman. And Kara saw some strange things when she first saw her. It’s also suspicious that she wants to be so close to her and always curious about her.
“She also said some strange words like ‘specific things that I have.’ What does that mean also?”
But Kara couldn’t surely say Thomas was the problem. She couldn’t find a connection between her dream and Thomas.
“I must be crazy. What does Thomas have to do with my dream? After all, she is just a new student, right??” she said to herself.
While she was lost in her thoughts, her mother came in.
“Talking to yourself again, my dear?? You are up early today.”
“Arr…..yes, mom. Morning. What’s for breakfast?”
“Pancake.”
“Pancake?! Sounds yummy.”
“Yes, I know it’s your favorite. Go upstairs; take a shower and breakfast will be ready.”
“Right away,” Kara said, laughing. She has forgotten her problem for a while.
“Hey, girl. How ya doing?” Thomas asked Kara with a smile.
Thomas hadn’t come to school for 4 or 5 days since Kara first saw her. Kara was kind of looking forward to seeing her, she thought that she would find something from Thomas, some answer or may be some connection, anything that could make her feel better though she wasn’t sure there was something.
“Yeah, I’m good. Where have you been these days?” she answered.
“Works to do…,haha…. Just joking. School is boring. I don’t wanna come here every day. It would suck.”
“It’s not that bad.”
“It’s very bad. No friends and nothing exciting.. it sucks. By the way, what are you doing?”
