Chapter 4: Dear, Little brother.

DisneyWorksFan My apologies for how long this took, And considering how short it is. But I've BARELY gotten the chance to write this. Anyways, Enjoy! ;D

"Kai... Psst... Kai, are you awake?"  The said brunette groans, turning to his left and hugging the nearest pillow to his chest.
"Kai!" His younger sister whines, shaking his form until he reluctantly sat up. "What?" The older asks, rubbing his eyes as he looked at his sister.

"Um... okay, don't get mad."

Kai mentally groans, switching his hand to drag down his face. "What did you do?" He Questions, tiredly looking at his sister. Nya opened her mouth to resort but quickly shut it up, instead deciding to tap her fingers together. Kai shuts his eyes.

"Nya smith, what on earth did you do?"

Nya sighs, defeatedly. "Okay, so originally I was only going out to a friends house." Kai spares a glance at the clock 4:30AM. "But i heard a noise of some sort so i went to check it out..." Kai looks back at Nya. "And?" Nya's gazes shifts back to Kai's. "And i found a child..."

Silence quickly fills the air as Kai tries to process what he just heard, The brunette blinks for a moment. "What do you mean 'You found a child'?" Kai Questions, deciding to get up from the mattress. "Exactly what i said... he didn't look conscious and his lips were blue, i didn't know what to do, so i dragged him here. He's outside." Nya explained.

"He's outside?"

"...Yes..."

"Get him the frick inside, it's raining and freezing out there!"

Nya quickly sped out to the front door, Kai following hot on her heels - after he grabbed a blanket from the closet.
The Ravenette simply opened the door and showed Kai the boy, the young child had blonde disheveled hair and was wearing a black hoodie with a skeleton design and number five on his top left side.

Kai crouched down in front of the boy and quickly picked him up into his arms, running past Nya and back into the house. Nya quickly followed and locked the door behind her, sprinting towards the living room, where Kai was already removing the boys wet clothes - save for his undergarments. "Nya, get me that fluffy warm blanket from the closet and one of my old shirts." Kai ordered, not looking up from the boy as he check his pulse. "On it." Nya replied, running off to fetch the items.

Kai held the boy as he wrapped a small blanket around him, frowning as he felt the boy shiver and heard his shallow breathing. Kai let out  small breath he didn't know he was holding when His twelve year-old sister ran back into the room, holding a few shirts and blanket being draped over her shoulders. Nya immediately handed Kai the shirts and took over on holding the boy for Kai to slip the shirt over his head and the rest of his body.

Kai then grabbed the blanket and wrapped the boy into it, before laying him down onto the couch and draping another blanket over the small child. The brunette then turned to look at his sister. "Go to bed, we'll talk about you're sneaking out chores tomorrow." Kai stated, crossing his arms. Nya didn't resort, instead nodded and waved goodnight to her brother before retreating to her room. Kai released a sigh and turned back to the boy, slightly smiling as he saw some color return to his face.

A small bit of anger washed over him, Where was this Kid's parents? Kai shook off the feeling and walked towards the kitchen sink, grabbing a bowl from the dish rack and filling it up with luke warm water. he than grabbed a rag and headed over to the Child, placing the rag over the kid's forehead.
"Sleep well, kiddo." He mumbled, yawning as he sat beside the boy, eyes slightly drooping as he stared blankly at the wall.

When morning arrived, Kai got up to make breakfast, using the leftover eggs from yesterday's breakfast to make some sandwiches. Kai made two sandwiches for both him and Nya, leaving some egg over for if the boy woke up. Nya came down from her room soon after Kai had finished Cooking. "Morning sis." Kai said, placing her plate on the table. Nya smiled in thanks as she sat down at the table.

"Morning." She replied, glancing over at the still sleeping Kid. "Has he waken up?" She asked, Kai shook his head. "Nope, the eyebags under his eyes definitely says something though." Kai answered, sitting in front of Nya. The Ravenette hummed, looking down at her food.

Kai sighed. "So-" *Thud!* Kai abruptly stood up, along with Nya as they snapped their heads over to the couch, seeing the young boy on the ground, visbly shaking. Kai looked over at Nya then back at the boy before walking over to him.

"Hey..?" The boys dazed gaze snapped to him in a heartbeat, his breathing quickening as he drowstly crawled back. Kai put his hand up to show he meant no harm, yet the child still stayed back.

"hI, You're probably confused and that's valid, given how you woke up in a unfamiliar home. Anyways, my name's Kai smith. My sister found you unconscious a few blocks away from here. So she brought you in here for us to help you." Kai explained, kneeling down.

The boy looked reluctant to speak, his eyes moving to look around. "...L-...Lloyd..." He slurred a bit. Kai blinked. "Is... is that You're name?" He asked, smiling when the boy gave him a short nod. "Nice to meet you Lloyd, As you know I'm Kai. Do you by any chance know who you're parents are?" The brunette asked, feeling his heart shatter a bit when Lloyd didn't respond. Kai frowned, crawling over to the boy and touching his forehead. "Fever..." He mumbled, turning over to Nya. "Hey, sis can you get one of the ibuprofen pills?" Kai asked earning a nod from his sisier.

Kai looked back at the blonde and Smiled. "How old are you by the way?" He questioned The boy. Lloyd bit his lip, fatigue making his arms shake. "...'even..." He mumbled, fighting consciousness. Kai frowned, clearly not noticing Lloyd's struggle. "What was that?" He asked. "I'm 'even..." he slurred.
"even...? Oh! you mean seven!" Kai Exclaimed, earning a flinch from the boy. "Kai, you scared the poor Boy." Nya chids, making herself known to Lloyd.

Kai sheepishly rubbed his neck, his eyes moving back to Lloyd, he wondered how exactly Lloyd was seven, considering his small form. To kai the blonde looked no older then five or four not seven... Could he maybe be malnourished?  Kai balled his fists at just this thought... where we're this kid's parents? letting him suffer through this alone.

"Hi, I'm Nya." Nya introduces, kneeling besides Kai, handing him over the ibuprofen. Lloyd waves over at the Ravenette.
"Could you tell us You're last name? maybe we could find you're parent's." Lloyd looks down. "...garmadon." Kai frowned, turning his gaze to his sister. "Do you, know of anyone with the last Name garmadon?" He asked earning a shake of her head.

"I do not-"

"They... don't c- care...for me." Lloyd whispered, tears springing to his eyes. "They left me... the- they lef- left me... I- i wa- was kicked out o- ...of darkly bo- boarding school for b- bad bo- boys... The- they ar- are bad... bad people... I- i do- don't wa- want to g- go back. Don't ma- make... me, ple- please do- don't mak- make me..." By now, tears dripped down his pale cheeks, leaving his shirt soaked in them. Lloyd tilted his head down to hide his face as his body trembled with sobs, his breathing coming out fast and ragged.

Kai sprung himself over and enveloped the Boy in a warm embrace, soothing his still to cold skin. Lloyd melted into the hug, hiding his face away at the crook of Kai's neck, accidentally making Kai's shirt wet - Not he minded anyway.

Unbeknownst to the boy, both Kai and Nya were livid at his parents for even leaving this kid at such a cruel place.

Whie there was still alot More Lloyd had left out of the conversation, Both Kai and Nya silently agreed something...
They both had just gained a little brother.
