Chapter 5: Little things.

Please, don't ask why this took me so long to post... :')

It was an oddly normal day at the Monastery. There were no distress calls from the police department, no patrols, and lastly, Wu decided there were no sunrise exercises. That left the Ninja to just unwind and stay at the Monastery.

Cole and Jay both decided to hog up the living quarters and play games on the TV and console. Pixal and Nya were both in the Hanger Bay, designing a new mech idea they had. while Zane cooked in the kitchen along with Kai and Lloyd, the said blonde was sitting on the kitchen island, watching Kai cut some carrots for the soup Zane was making.

"Greenbean, could you pass me the last carrot?" Kai asked, eyes still on the carrots he was chopping. Lloyd looked over his shoulder, grabbing the carrot and handing it to his brother.

"Thanks, Little Green." Kai mumbled, earning a pout. "Just cause Master Wu calls me, that doesn't mean you can." The younger declared as Kai patted his knee. "Alright, Greenie." Kai replied with a small smirk on his face.

Zane shook his head, grabbing the bowl Kai used to place the chopped carrots in. "Lloyd, could you fetch the potatoes from the lower left cabinet?" Zane questioned, pouring the carrots into the pot. Lloyd noded, looking over at Kai. "Assistance?" Kai huffed.

"Y'Know you could get down yourself, right?" Lloyd looked at Kai with a peluant look. The brunette released a breath. "Fine." He spoke in annoyance, wiping his palms on his pants. "Yay!" Lloyd cheered as Kai grabbed his torso, pulling him off the island top and placing him on the ground.

"Thank you!" The blonde exclaimed, turning around and walking over to the cabinet. Kai looked back at Zane with a small smile. The nindroid only shrugged, a smile of his own plastered onto his face.

Lloyd returned with four potatoes, marching over to the sink and washing them, throughly. Once done, he handed them to Zane and hoisted himself back onto the island, watching Kai as he cut a potato that Zane handed him after peeling it.

Zane glances towards the time, handing Kai the last potato and throwing away the - potato - Skin, before washing his hands. "I've got to check on the laundry. Lloyd, could you please stir the soup?" The said Ninja smiled, hopping off the island and walking over to the stove, giving the latter a two finger salute before flicking it away from his head.
