{DOMINIC SANTIAGO}

"I-I just don't understand, I just saw her today". Monica said, pacing back and forth in the spacious living room . Dominic unbuttoned his shirt and pulled the thin material from his body, the white tank top coming into view. The woman before him clearly stressed over the news, her facial expressions morphing into worrisome and fear.

"You saw her today? how? did she hurt you?". I questioned.

"No, she didn't hurt me, she bumped into me when we were about to leave the restaurant, I tried to get her to talk but she wouldn't...the whole ordeal was weird, she said it wasn't her fault and ran away". Monica said, her hands placed on her hips and frantic eyes meeting mine. "What could that mean?.

Walking towards the television, Dominic listens in to the details of the murder, not much information being displayed on the television screen since no one knew all that had happened  yet.

"This just doesn't make any sense! I seen her today". Monica stressed, grabbing at the roots of her hair, her pacing increased significantly. Dominic worried if she moved any faster she would make herself dizzy. Facing Monica, I reach out to her and grab her hands away from her hair, bringing her smaller body into my larger one.

"Look, we don't know all the details about it yet...it could've just been a coincidence you know? And I'm not saying what you are saying is incorrect but I am saying that's how it usually works when someone dies, you just saw them and now they're gone". I explained.

Deep down Dominic knew that this murder could've been more, there was a high possibility but he did not want to worry Monica more.They both had a feeling Willow's death was no accident or coincidence.

"You're right". She says letting out a deep breath,  brushing my hands through her beautiful hair. I speak.

"Do you want to sleep in my room again?. I question.

"No, I'll be okay, I'm sorry you must be tired, after getting out of work and here I am worrying you with this". She says, letting out a breathless chuckle and pulling out of the hug. Her exhausted eyes looked up to mine.

"I could never be too tired for you". Monica smiles, her pearly white teeth making an appearance.

"Go on up to bed, I'll be alright". Dominic stayed planted not truly believing the words coming out of the woman's mouth.

"Dominic go." She lets out. " I'm fine."

Walking towards the steps, I plant my foot on the very first step and turn to Monica, she sends me a closed mouth smile and nods. Reaching my bathroom I pull the clothes from my strained body and step into the hot shower.

Letting out a deep sigh, I stand under the shower head and feel my tense muscles began to relax.

She's not fine.

{ MONICA ARTHUR }

I'm not fine. The farthest definition from fine actually. My thoughts are constantly in shambles, trying to believe what's real and what's fake. A part of me doesn't want to worry about any of this and believe all of it was just an accident or a coincidence but the other part of me is telling me to stay true to myself and believe the unbelievable.

With a heavy sigh I sit on the cold couch and rub my tired eyes, the television before me illuminating the dark living room, grabbing the remote I turn the tv off and grab my phone.

Going to detective Lewis's phone number I hover over the call button with a shaky thumb I press the button. The continuous ringing of the phone does little to calm my racing mind.

"Hello, Monica?". Detective Lewis speaks, a yawn escaping afterwards.

"Hello...um hi, I'm sorry did I wake you?". I whisper nervously.

"You did but you sound troubled, what's wrong?".

" I was watching the news tonight and I seen that there was a murder and it just so happened to be Willlow, she was the one that was killed."

I could hear shuffling in the background of the call. "Okay...What seems to be the problem? You know it's common for someone to get killed rather you know them or not."

" Yes! Yes I know, but I don't think she was just killed it's too much of a coincidence, I just saw her earlier that day, something weird is happening, do you- do you think you could tell me who did it or what you know please?" I asked frustratingly.

"Monica, I understand you may be under a lot of pressure but this is highly inappropriate I cannot give information out that does not regard you".

"I know and I apologize but you know she's somewhat connected with my case so I thought you could help with any detail or question-".

"Monica!', enough please, I explained what you are asking is highly inappropriate and I will not do it, I'm not risking my job for this, I'm sorry but there's no way I can help you". The line instantly going dead after. Monica understood how upset Detective Lewis was but she thought he would be able to help her out even if it was a little.

With a defeated sigh Monica rises from the couch and walk up the stairs, towards her bedroom.

"You're crazy!". I laughed while speaking with Blue. Ms. Rosa, Blue and I were out back in her garden tending to her gorgeous flowers and drinking raspberry tea.

"Yes blue, a true card you are but that's why we love you". Rosa expressed. I watch her go back into the home once Dominic called for her.

"I don't mean to pry love but are you okay? You seem a little off?" Blue asked concerned. " I've been going through something's but I'll be okay... eventually, thank you for asking". I said giving blue a hug.

"Of course! I'm always here if you need someone to talk to you, never forget that."

" I won't" . I smiled.
